Great Video!!! I don't know how you fit all those fish, and all that bait, and all the beer on that tiny OC-1. You should give lessons!
@brewcrewpaddling92044 жыл бұрын
Lol, thanks. Beers and fish caught are kept in a backpack cooler that I usually fit in my oc1's bungees behind my seat, and live bait between my legs in a small collapsible bait bucket...

Watching a quiet video is just as entertaining with out background music, especially with the caption bleeps. 😃 Your fishing is soothing, verses casting from the shoreline like the rest of us. Good size one that got away, the proof was in the slow mo. 👍

Great Video!! My friend and I wanted to start getting into some oc1 fishing as well, but we couldn’t figure out how to mount our rod holders to the boat. Can you please give us some advice on how you recommend doing this.
@brewcrewpaddling92045 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment, as for oc1 trolling, I 1st started out by just rubbering a pvc pipe to my back iako, in fact I think the guy who 1st showed me how to troll from an oc1 still uses that method, but after I lost a good rod and reel cause I didn't see/hear it fall out I decided to try a figure out another way. So I ordered a actual plastic pole holder the kine for mount to a milk crate for a kayak and used 4 conduit hangers, mounting 2 together then attaching 1pair to the top and one to the bottom of the pole holder...lol Sorry hard for explain, I don't have my canoe w/me right now, but I'll take some pics then get back to you...

ok, that would be great. that was my concern as well. thank you for your response.

@@jessessoliscinematics Hey I just realized I can't(or maybe just don't know how to) upload pics for you to see, do you have somewhere I can send then too, email, text, or fb would be the only ways that I'd know how though. Sorry

You’re fishing videos are entertaining esp when you get a case of da rubbah hook lol. What’s the biggest you caught?
@brewcrewpaddling92045 жыл бұрын
Lol, thanks. My Aug.8,2017 vid was the biggest papio I ever caught on my one man, couple months ago I caught a 10# kaku too. Though from my kayak I was lucky enough to have caught a 20+ # omilu once and even a kagami that was about 15#...

Can you share your set up pls?
@brewcrewpaddling92045 жыл бұрын
@@kalekwon8362 Lol, I actually was hoping for rigging set up suggestions from you folks, the viewers, lol. I just run a bubble float to a swivel then a long fluorocarbon leader with a 2 hook set up at the end, usually a snell knot for top hook and uni knot for bottom hook, oh and a big slit shot about 10 inches or so from top hook. hope that helps...
@kalekwon83625 жыл бұрын
Brew Crew Paddling i only used live without the bubble pretty much same spot exact way. Is the lead keeping fish upright or just giving it some weight?
@brewcrewpaddling92045 жыл бұрын
@@kalekwon8362 Just giving some weight as I use that set up for trolling live oamas or for trolling plastic strips and grubs. When trolling dead oamas I'll either smash the slipt shot around the shank of the top hook or right above the hook to help keep the fish from spinning.

love your old fashion style. one rod with the biat out. Manual paddling, just using your own might. None of these weird feet paddle boats with fancy depth finders and fish finders and all that tech nonsense. I'm a shore caster, and this just seemed so much more my style. Good job on quitting even with the 3rd strike, i know some guys would be out there raping em up when the bites are hitting. 3 is my personal max too even if i can see an omilu school around.
