You said that Jobe and Jeremiah said when they came into donut it was a big community but it was small lol. If it was a big community it wasn’t small. When they took the job there they knew exactly how much they were going to be paid and what job they were expected to do. I don’t blame them for going out on their own and trying to make more money but let’s not act like they had no idea what they were going in to. They knew and agreed to it in their contracts

I'll never understand handing over your creative project to some corporation. For what? A little more money and you can't do what you want to do?

people love watching @ChrisFix wash cars in his driveway, it's not always about bigger/better, it's about adventure, timeline, and honestly, it's about connecting to the audience -- Donut lost the plot.

They were promised, creative control, and options in the company and turns out the company was sold out from underneath them, and all of their promises went out the door. Donuts content has gone so far downhill I’m not surprised they left and you can tell in their latest clickbaity content that everybody is depressed. It’s clearly been shot over the past several months during all of them leaving and it shows. And after all the hard work they put into literally building the channel up being producers in their own right when they separated into teams to make content. I hope they sue for creative control of their old content and get it moved to the new channels.

Good point at the end about things coming fast and going quickly. A lot of people watched all the guys together at Donut because they worked well together. If they all spilt into their own channels they might not be able to recreate the lightning in the bottle that made them so big in the first place. Or keep it going after the initial buzz and excitement.

I'm not going to knock down Nolan and Justin. We don't know their situations, maybe they want something more stable and they don't mind getting cut a paycheck from donut. It reminds me of a similar conversation with my brother at a very young age he determined he likes the stability of a 9 to 5, I chose entrepreneurship. Yes there are some years that I dramatically do better than him, however there's been some times knowing that I would be clocking in at 9:00 leaving at 5:00 and then having that nice little holiday bonus. Would have been way better than looking at my pockets inside out, searching for change in the sofa, wow my business idea took took off putting in ridiculous hours 😂
