Much appreciated, it was the one machine that I always swore that I would buy if I found one that I could afford and was close enough to get it. This bike popped up after less than two minutes of searching and I knew it was a sign.

@vintageadventurerrides14 сағат бұрын
It's actually quite the tame bike to ride. I'd be much more afraid of a modern 250 two stroke. The RM465 has a very predictable powerband that is easy to ride, even for a sportsman rider that I was when I got the bike.

I rode my rm465z back in the mid 80's,( sometimes on the tar road too) it was like 1st gear- hmmm goin pretty fast, 2nd gear- going faster now!, 3rd gear- ok hang on tighter, things i'm passing starting to become blury, 4th gear- realisation i am now on board a rocket machine that defies my riding ability and i just might die if i continue winding it out! Yet still i would love to get another one.( i have a 1981 cr450r at present, fully restored).enjoyed your video clip! Cheers Paul, Australia.

Hey man, thanks for being an international viewer. I've been curious how those old 450 and 480 Hondas run. There's reportedly a guy in my area with a CR480 that's a damn good rider, but I've never met him or seen the bike. The RM465 sure is a fun bike. It's very tame feeling to me, but it scared the crap out of a buddy of mine who had an IT465 that was the first big bore I'd ever rode.

@vintageadventurerrides4 күн бұрын
This trail is mainly ridden in third. Occasionally second comes in order for the super tight stuff, but it's rarely used. I do have this bike geared lower with an 11 tooth front sprocket replacing the factory 12 tooth.

I start in second gear when I race this one. The only problem is that we do dead engine starts, so I have to be very strategic about where I place the bike at the starts. I can't have my left foot lower than my right.
