This has that special vibe that some old interviews have. The VHS static noise, the way Ridley looks, the smoke drifting up into frame... Also I wish modern movie interviews had nice backgrounds instead of just a big logo for the movie.

You're most welcome :) Yeah i am a huge fan of Baroque myself as well and it is one of my favorite periods of classical Music. The 4 Seasons has been an essential work since my childhood but the second movement of the Winter always felt like a little under appreciated and almost too small for such a sweet melody so i wanted it to really stand on its own and shine brightly. And yes, i am also a huge fan of Walter / Wendy Carlos' works and took a lot of inspiration from it too.

Unfortunately my Windows software keeps falling over. I got it up and running purely to use TS404 and Sonic Foundy's Vegas software, which I loved.
@KRAFTWERK2K6
@KRAFTWERK2K6 4 ай бұрын
Yeah i keep an old windows running on a Thinkpad laptop, purely for extrem cases that still refuse to work properly under Linux with WINE. But thankfully TS-404 is not so tough and needs i think directX libraries. It's old enough that it doesn't require too exotic extra packages like the old Sonic Foundry Vegas with its strange need for Dot Net runtime packages.

i have a praktica super tl 1000. i tucked the film under the left wire of the right spool. does that make a difference whether i tuck it under the left or right wire of the spool? The rewind crank on the left does rotate when I advance the film, so the film is definitely moving on.
@KRAFTWERK2K6
@KRAFTWERK2K6 5 ай бұрын
Does the TL 1000 have that little green marking too, on the bottom of the film compartment?? And i think it should be fine If the spool on the left side rotates when you use the film advance lever.
@SinolooTV
@SinolooTV 5 ай бұрын
@@KRAFTWERK2K6 thanks for the quick reply! yes it does have the green marking at the bottom right, too. I was just wondering because almost every video I see of loading film, loads it differently.
@KRAFTWERK2K6
@KRAFTWERK2K6 5 ай бұрын
@@SinolooTV No problem :) Yeah, according to the manual the filmstrip is supposed to be pulled out till this green marking and then you are supposed to close the camera-back, firing the shutter and using the film advance lever. So the metal wire inside grabs the film strip, and holds it against the take up spool. In this video i basically showed how it looks and what these wires do with the filmstrip. But if you pull the filmstrip a little further it doesn't really matter.

January 2009 was long before I even had a KZbin channel, back then I used to watch videos of this keyboard ( although at the time it was hard to find videos of a Yamaha PSS-680 which hadn't been modified ). But in 2021 I finally bought myself a Yamaha PSS-680.

Congrats :D i hope you didn't have to pay too much for yours. Back in 2009 these were still rather affordable. I think i paid about 80 bucks for mine. I still have it and would never really wanna part from it because there simply is not much FM Synth hardware out there that has that Soundblaster OPL2 or MegaDrive soundchip sound and even with full MIDI support. I think there's even much better software Editors for this thing now than the one i used back then to break out of the editing limitations of the actual Keyboard. Because even though this FM Synthesis is pretty simple, it's still very capable of great sounds. And if you send it through an effect pedal, that's where it really gets interesting.

Just normal 35mm Film (like from Kodak, Ilford, AGFA, FUJI or other brands like CineStill). Not medium format or 16mm. This camera is for 35mm Negative or Reversal film. And the film sensitivity doesn't matter if you keep in mind the ups and downs for low ISO and high ISO filmstock. For example, low ISO (like ISO 100 or 200) is great for daylight with very fine grain while high ISO (400 or 800) is great for lowlight and indoors and no flash but is grainier. Low ISO is also not so suitable for photographing fast moving things. That however is a specialty for high ISO, also why it's called "fast"stock.

Should camera be on B setting to load film?
@KRAFTWERK2K6
@KRAFTWERK2K6 Жыл бұрын
No, the Setting doesn't really matter. It can be any exposure time. What matters is that the shutter was not fired before you change the shutterspeed. Otherwise the mechanical shutter can get damaged. On Cameras with electronically controlled shutterspeeds (the cameras that use a battery and have a little microprocessor in them) it doesn't matter. But it is crucial for 100% mechanical SLR cameras. So if you press the shutter release button do not change the shutterspeed before you used the film-advance lever. Because that brings back the mechanical shutter to the startpoint. Then it is safe to change the shutter speeds. :) So yeah, film can be loaded into the camera no matter what shutterspeed is set.

@KRAFTWERK2K6
@KRAFTWERK2K6 Жыл бұрын
Oh no it's not my own. It was made by a guy named Richard Hoffman. You basically have up to 4 Pages (or 4 instances) which you can edit individually and also give different sequences and effects. I first came across this amazing piece of software somewhere around back in 2001 or so, when i had a CD-ROM withvarious synth freeware and shareware and this was among them. I've been hooked ever since and i remember that some patches easily maxed out my poor little Pentium 133 that i had at that time :P Haha yes it really oozes the windows98 look and feel sooo much but thankfully it runs really well without win98 (I was running it under Linux with WINE that allows you to run windows applications). And thank you, Rose :) Thanks a lot!

Ich glaube nicht. Das is vorbei.
