I had one of these that degloved the last 3rd of my cat's tail when it got wedged going through somehow. So, I removed the plastic door and replaced it with a homemade rubber flap.

Complete trash. Does not compress down far enough to get over the outer lower lip of the tracks. Literally about 1/2 inch to go and there’s no way it’s getting forced in there. My door frame measured at the tracks is exactly 77 5/8 but it’s not possible to get the door inside the tracks unless I cut some of the metal on top.

But the windiw will fit my window, isnt costume?

Thank goodness I found this ! I fought all evening ( I'm by myself ) trying to hold on to that outside bracket and screw in the screws from the front. I am so frustrated! I put it all aside for the night and put the door cover over the doggie door and plan to regroup in the morning . 😂 THANK YOU !!!

Would be so much better if you just sold the rubber hinges that go between the panels. My door is fine, it’s just the little I-shaped rubber hinge that I need. Instead you want $60 to replace the whole door, when the entire assembly new is only $70. Absolute joke. Will never buy Ideal Pet Products again

I don't understand what the 2 strips that are placed on either side of the lock for. It doesn't look like they're needed and according to who I bought it from...she only used weather stripping to install. Nothing else

The written instructions are terribly confusing, and this isn't much better. I'm trying to insert the "draft seal" but it won't fit into the groove in the door seal extension. Very frustrating!

I measured from the deepest part of the channel on top to the deepest part of the track on the bottom which suggested this should fit but I could not lift it up over the lip of the bottom track, the top bit didn't compress quite enough. It's excellent quality and I really wish it would have fit, but I'll be sending it back.

If you get the extra large door it doesn't come with a template. The suggested method is to use the plastic door cover as the template. It is the correct size for the hole you need to cut in the door. I see some comments saying it came with no template. This video is specific to the ruff weather version. I bought an extra large single flap door and realized it was too big and could go smaller. Returned it and found the large ruff weather one. My experience with the install of the ruff weather door was exactly how the video shows.

Wanted to buy this, your complete gloss over on how to install the lock makes me think that either the lock is a piece of garbage or it's really hard to install. Will be going with a different product

Your product instructions and procedure are SO MUCH more complicated than other videos I just watched. Watch some of your competitors product or DIY generated videos and see what I mean.

Do not buy this worthless door. The flaps are garbage and will warp in just a few months

So my door is 1 1/2 but the extension to connect to the dog door is 1 1/4 hmm 🤔 why can’t it just slide on.guess I need to send it back to get 1 1/2 by 1 1/2 for both sides

WRONG,,,will not work without removing lock latch first

I’ve done everything as directed and even went as far as taking out the current screws for the lock so it will be flush. With everything out and the weatherstripping adhered it is no where close to being flush! What a joke this is! Returning and hope I can get a refund since the weatherstripping is already on! 😡

I just installed this door, found this video just as I was trying to install the door seal extrusion. I was trying to install them incorrectly. Thanks for the video. I like the door and didn't think the install was to difficult. The instructions were pretty clear for the most part. The plastic door latches were junk but I just reused the metal one that was on the door
