Trouble is, it's always down to total disregard for scale speed. :(

you say that, but... these models ARE actually using Dynamic Similitude Speed, which is effectively scale speed in water. You just have to keep in mind that DSS scales time as well. The ships would be utterly un-controllable if they ran at linear 1:144 scale speed.

Why dont you guys use FPV cameras, whit receivers ? You missed alot of chances to hit, but of youre point, its difficult to see that. Those system are cheap, cost aboute 45€.

The loss of situational awareness by limiting your perspective to an onboard FPV camera is far more significant than the boost to accuracy.

Yes, that is the bilge pump. As long as you're pumping more than you're flooding, everything is OK. Exceed your pumping capacity, and sinking becomes inevitable.
