This was a good first film. Simple origin, just enough easter eggs for comic book fans and easy to get into for casual viewers. Also the suit being practical makes most of the fights look much better; plus the choreography was great, you get to see Jaime get more confident and pull off cooler moves as the movie progresses. It really was a good movie, I just wish more people went to see it.

Brandon Routh’s performance- along with the characterisation, development, presentation and Blake Neely’s theme - all gelled together to make this rendition of Ray Palmer/The Atom one of the Arrowverse’s greatest heroes. From Arrow to The Flash to Legends Of Tomorrow, the character is (in my opinion) one of many reasons for newcomers to check out the whole canon.
