She's not a gray Jedi there are no gray Jedi ffs, there's no such a fkn thing, the only reason people think gray Jedi exist is because they fundamentally misunderstand what is means to finally become a true Jedi and because they wanna validate their self insert force users to be good guys but get to do bad guy things and that's not how the Force works. To be a Jedi you must face your own darkness and fear and hate and rise above them. That's why Luke wasn't a Jedi until he faced Vader and the Emperor. That's why Anakin was always unstable and out of balance. It's why Ashoka isn't calling herself a Jedi, because she never took her trials. It's why Obi Wan was Knighted after 'killing' Maul and not falling to the dark side in the attempt. Ashoka walked away from the path of a Jedi, and Anakin forced (pun intended) her to face herself, with her own inner turmoil and fear and regret and all the negatives that dark side brings so she could rise above. *That's* why after she touched the dark for that second and showed she could over come it and not let it dominate her destiny and show that she was in control she was able to learn the final lesson of an apprentice, one Anakin didn't learn until he came back from Vader on the Death Star. Being a Jedi means acknowledging the dark, facing it, and answering with light and compassion and dignity. She's not some fanboy grey Jedi now. She's just a true Jedi Master who has finally completed her trials. Just as it should be.
