@@danbowskimexicothat’s harsh. 😂 Manowar are still one of the best live shows I’ve ever seen. Regardless of what people may think of them, there’s no denying how good they sound live. Could do without the speeches after every song about how the whole world is trying to keep Manowar down but when it comes to the songs, they rock.
@danbowskimexico4 күн бұрын
I can't imagine having to sit through a Manowar show. Although I must say, I love "All Men Play On 10", and there is not a single Peter Criss (solo) song that I am remotely close to even liking.
@TheLongGoneLoserRockShow4 күн бұрын
@@danbowskimexico I saw them play the first six albums in their entirety in 2008 and they were freakin’ amazing. I also saw them at the gods of metal festival in 2002 in Italy with slayer and Halford, sodom, kreator and Doro and that was wild too. Manowar live is really an experience more than a live show. It’s quite surreal. I just wish they’d sort their shit out and get Ross The Boss back on guitar where he deserves to be instead of these randoms they get, no matter how good they are. Ross deserves to be there as he wrote most of their best stuff from my understanding

A version of "Kids in Action", originally by Max Webster, was also recorded for DLR album Eat ‘em’ and Smile. Unfortunately, due to time constraints, the song was not included on the release. Apparently, Billy Sheehan was a member of Max Webster for about three weeks, according to Kim Mitchell. If you listen to the track you can picture Diamond Dave doing it justice.

WOW! I can't believe David Lee Roth covered a Max Webster song! Seriously, that's shocking news. I think as a Canadian, I just assume that no one (not literally) knows about Max Webster, and certainly not enough to cover them, and certainly not fucking DLR.

The funny thing about the guys selling weed (and when I say funny, I actually mean dumb), or whatever illegal activity they're doing, is that they're completely inconspicuous, then draw attention to themselves by approaching people who are taking videos, and cause a scene. Same with these girls. Barbra Streisand syndrome.

Hey Dan, the vinyl looks awesome! I picked up the deluxe CD version at Barnes & Noble about a year ago (during their special 30% off sale) and it's a fantastic release. I wouldn't quite rank it above the classic "Live At Leeds", but it's certainly among their best live albums. A nice mix of new and old material. The orchestra lends itself well to their sound as their music is so theatrical, but they are careful to keep the band loud and proud in the mix. I was amazed at how little attention it received upon it's initial release, so your video is a great way to spread the word. Take care!🎸
@danbowskimexico4 күн бұрын
Right on Ken, excellent comment! The Live At Leeds thing was a bit of a joke. I know it's considered one of the greatest live albums ever, but I got it decades after it came out, so it didn't have any impact on me, because I didn't grow up with it. But, it is great, undoubtedly. There's another (more modern) live album that I'm gonna talk about on Sunday, by a band who also has a classic live album, and I make a similar analogy. And I love modern Who! Endless Wire was excellent, the self-titled from a few years ago was really good, and I especially love the three singles they've done in more "recent" years (Be Lucky, and especially Real Good Looking Boy and Old Red Wine)

While the 3-Sides of the Douche podcast proclaims 'Out of Control' as a grand album for collectors. It does musically suck, and it did in 1980 when it was originally released and it was available only in very limited quantities in my small Canadian town at the time. None of the tunes on this album made it to even limited rotation on Canadian FM. I guess to have an original copy from back-in-the-day there may be a certain cache'. Yet it still flew under the radar for major KISS fans like me in 1980.

@@danbowskimexico Q107 Toronto and to a lesser extent CHUM-FM did play a couple of songs from this album on latenight rotation for a couple of weeks when it was released. It was played as a complete album only once (that I can remember) on a 'wee-hours' FM broadcast out of Rochester NY. The days when terrestrial radio could still choose their on-air playlists at free-will. I never bought it as it was a disappointment for major KISS fans at the time.
