This is the only album from DT I'm familiar with... and I absolutetely love it! I discovered this record just a few years ago and it blew my mind. Maybe it's different from earlier DT releases, but it doesn't affect my judgement, 'cos I simply don't know them. It was very hard to buy the CD here in Europe, and I finally bought one somewhere in Yugoslavia during the lockdown. In my opinion it's one of the best hard rock albums ever recorded. Seriously It's edgy, intelligent, melodic and consistant. I think the band was perfectly aware of what they were doing musically. Sometimes it sounds like Nirvana (Cure the Sane), sometimes like Metallica (Words on the Wall), but with its own distinctive twist. My favourite track is "New Anger", then "Down Inside" (what a groove), "Take Me Swiftly", "Share the Kill", "Cure the Sane", "Transmission", "Heard It All" etc. The only songs to skip are "Mom & Dad", "Monster Man" and "The Numb". BTW, I'm basically a Van Halen/DLR fan, but I also love AC/DC, Prince, Meshel Ndegeocello, The Prodigy, Sex Pistols, Soul II Soul, Talking Heads, U.K. and recently bluegrass :) Sometimes I play bass guitar for fun.

Small majority here🖐🏼 I LOVE this album. Love it. Can’t keep releasing the same album over and over again. Different is good and I love that they made it. This is one of my favorite interviews (and album) not long enough in my opinion!! 🤘🏼 Thanks for this.

I love this interview! Having said that... this album devastated me when it came out. Being such a huge fan of the first 3 albums. I consider "Pissed" a masterpiece. And I have tried giving the Artist chances over the years. But in my opinion, the songs are just not that good. Its not that they went in a different direction. I enjoyed other band's albums that went astray in this era, i.e. Warrant's Ultraphobic. Still and always will be a huge Toy's fan! But if they never play one of these songs live, I won't shed a tear...

I think Dary of a Madman is regarded as a greater album by many people, it is so raw,. and Randy left scratch solos on the album because they had a lack of time. Shortly after this was done, Steve Machat unleashed an evil event that really led to a lot of problems. He signed Ozzy to CBS for a U.S. Distribution deal, failing to sign the band because they all had lawyers. This ultimately empowered Ozzy's horrible wife, Darth Hideous to fire lee Kerslake and then Bob Daisley, leading to them being replaced by Rudy Sarzo and Tommy Aldridge and leading to some contentious lawsuits as the Osbournes screwed over Bob and Lee on payments and royalties and lied about many things.

I don't Know, live track,Kevin DuBrow called the greatest live metal track of all-time. Crazy Train is good, the triple tracking of the solo with 3 slightly different takes and layered is amazing. Apparently inspired by the Steve Miller band's Swingtime according to Greg Leon. Goodbye to Romance- the stripped down version with just vocals and Randy's guitar is incredible with the guitar playing at the end. I was not a real fan of the song either. Better live than in the studio. Dee - all-time great tribute to his Mom Suicide Solution - much better live with the spotlight solo and he changed it a lot. I have a demo of Suicide Solution with a funkier middle section Mr. Crowley - two solos that often make the top ten metal solos of all-time No Bone Movies - song added at the last minute to give Lee Kerslake a writing credit replacing You Looking at Me Looking at You. Revelation (Mother Earth ) - the ending solo is absurd This song gave is insight into where he was headed. Steal Away the Night - a fantastic song, with the triple tracking of the solo in certain parts. The rhythm track is fantastic. Lyrics for most of the album: BOb Daisley All guitars and riffs by Randy Rhoads Produced by Bob Daisley and Randy Rhoads though Ozzy gets a credit. Max Norman sound engineer.

megadeth was my v first concert / event i was 16 years old. (((actually it was my birthday present. i asked to do something different that year and so i opted for the hottopic tour that they were promoting at their stores.))) it was megadeth along with a bunch of newer bands. so it was a great experience that floored me. bcoz of that megadeth will forever have a special place in my heart. but as time has unveiled ; my interest has dwindled; i have seen them many times but i’ve since gotten more into other bands and styles. i do agree that they don’t seem the have a definitive album. but every album has some great songs. but i will say i always saw them as a tried and true heavy metal band. not thrash: or speed or this or that. just well written songs that are sonically heavy metal. like the last min of the song peace sells always reminded me of the beatles. maybe bcoz it was capitol records thing but it felt like something i could see john lennon would sing. anyways i will say megadeth are the most versatile band of the four. and i guess that’s thanks for mustaines prolific style. great video; great album and thanks for sharing
