Definitely my favorite anime of all time. Funny enough, there's an alternate universe where the bombs never dropped and Kenshiro's love isn't dead. Apparently he learned Fist of the North Star in China but eventually had to hide away in Japan with his brother. I don't remember the name of that version, but I'm glad it was made.

This is honestly the best and also the most important cartoon or anime in the world, a true piece of art, a masterpiece of the genere. No others have this level of deep values, music or characters, design or ambientations, fights or love, in its deep wonderful concept. A true piece of our childhood, that can teach a part of our values, like or more that a book or a good society or even a big brother can do to a kid.

The worst is all the main antagonist where never is enemys: they where potential friends and gentles souls turned to extreme ends because the world needed a tyran. They all paved the way for Ken's acceptance of is mantle and their kindness will forever live in is heart.

The saddest part is it's fatalism for all of them to die especially nanto seiken users, how they die already decided from the start. Shin (Junsei "Sacrifice") died for his love Yuria, Ray (Gisei "Justice") died for repaying Ken, Yuda (Yōsei "Fairy" and "Betrayal") died for envy towards Ray's elegant style, Shu (Jinsei "Mercy") died for helping the weak, Souther (Shōsei "Leadership") died for his ambition

In the manga he sadly doesn't meet Kenshiro before he died, so I really prefer the anime version since Kenshiro is appreciating his sacrifice way more
