But is sacrificing everything else to be the best really worth it after you've peaked? I'm still the best at what I do, but nobody can stand working at my level and choose not to be around at all now.
@thegabrieljulie2 жыл бұрын
There is no finish line, the peak you are at right now is just the top of the first mountain you climbed. There are new WAY bigger ones to climb now! Plus, you need to be in around the right people, if they can't work as hard as you do - that's normal because you are the best at what you do, but if the gap is too big that it prevents you to be your best self, you gotta get in groups of high producers

My psychologist the other day said to me, why would yuo go for a run a day you don't want to, didn't you do it because you like it? She doesn't want me to worsen my anxiety that comes from my perfectionsim so I understand why she says it, but at the same time, if I want to get fit again (after three years being sick) and being able to enjoy running, I have to get in shape first.
@thegabrieljulie3 жыл бұрын
I guarantee you that when you do get in better health you'll cure most of the problems you can get mentally, sport was my therapy and that made wonders!

@@thegabrieljulie i aree with that, that's why my illness was so terrible to me. I couldn't do any physical exercise without having nausea, headaches or stomachaches. And I had vomiting episodes that were really problematic (It can take me a few months to recover from one and be able to walk again for just 15 minutes). I also feel exhausted almost every day. I had to stop playing field hockey, and I haven't been able to play again yet. I've been doing physical exercises since August very progressively, and I'm getting better, but it's not being easy, I almost had a vomiting episode less than a month ago.

I'm with you. The worse is behind you, it's only going up hill from here. Remember this: You are on the Path, the Right one. Not many people find it! You may face extreme weather conditions on that path, tornado, storm, blizzards... But hey, you are still walking forward, in the right direction. Even if that incident made you go slower you are still heading the right way. So keep getting after it my friend DO NOT GIVE UP!
@Ignasimp3 жыл бұрын
@@thegabrieljulie thanks! The worse is definitelly behind me. It just feels hard now because I'm actually facing the issue instead of letting it control my life, but if I compare myself to last year I'm far better.
