Trapper Wolf was a human male pilot and officer for the New Republic. He flew an T-65B X-wing starfighter as leader of an attack squadron with pilots Sash Ketter and Jib Dodger. Circa 9 ABY, the trio located the signal from a tracking beacon that had originally been activated during the Bothan-Five incident, a mercenary attack on a New Republic Correctional Transport. Wolf and the other pilots detected the tracker's signal on board a space station managed by the criminal Ranzar Malk. After seeing a gunship preparing to launch from within the space station as they approached, the trio attacked the station in their starfighters. Sometime later, Wolf and Captain Carson Teva approached the gunship Razor Crest during a patrol, which did not have an emitting transponder. After the starship's pilot, the Mandalorian Din Djarin, sent a ping to the pair, Wolf privately discussed with Teva, connecting the Mandalorian to the prisoner breakout during the Bothan-Five incident. Djarin tried to flee from the New Republic pilots, eventually escaping their sights at canyons of the planet Maldo Kreis. The two pilots then checked records on the Crest, they learned of selfless actions Djarin had committed. The pair soon rescued the gunship from a horde of knobby white ice spiders and let the Mandalorian go is Dave filoni by being a Trapper Wolf actor find Star Wars the Mandalorian

After two episodes in, I’m realizing how much I love the writing of this masterpiece of a show. The little things, such as Oswald impatiently waiver a car to go as he’s crossing the street, to Sophia Falcone giving great facial expressions and body language, really adds to this amazing story and character study. Thanks for a great interview.

Filoni is a narcissist, an egomaniac and is more interested in advancing his own legacy rather than writing and creating good cohesive content that makes sense. He can’t write a Star Wars story that doesn’t suck and doesn’t involve one of his own babies. Ahsoka was horrible, a complete back alley abortion. After trying to watch the Acolyte, are there any writer/creators left at Lucas Film? It’s as if whomever wrote that POS was eating mushrooms or on a bad acid trip the entire time they were writing it. Why not take the F’ing lay-up Dave and rather than continuing to lie to fans, and oh I don’t know, dust off the fifty plus Star Wars novels that have already been written? Sooo, you seriously think you’re a better writer/creator than authors like Timothy Zahn, Claudia Gray, Christie Golden, James Luceno, and on and on. Stop trying to reinvent the wheel and adapt the books to big and small screen and do it without Ahsoka. She’s a sidekick, always has been, always will be, her story is that she has no story, most uninspiring, uninteresting character ever created. If you want a woke female character that has an interesting story and interesting redemption arc, why not Mara Jade? Why not Ventress? Nobody likes what you’re currently doing. Change gears or get out of the business. As I said, the solution is easy, adapt the novels to screen, problem solved.

Apologies, normally my comments about Filoni and Lucas Film are a little more balanced. What I should have said in reference to Filoni being a narcissist and an egomaniac, is that he “appears” to be a narcissist and egomaniac that can’t not make a single Star Wars story that is of his own creation and characters, that doesn’t suck, lately, as in the last 10 years or so. He is the head of the writing/creative and content department, so written created by him or not, seems everything would have to have his final approval and likely much of his own influence. Filoni has also done some really great things, such as his contributions to The Clone Wars, Rebels and The Mandalorian, but again, he wasn’t in charge of any of those projects. Take for example tge current Rey films, episodes 7-9. George Lucas didn’t just sell the company and say “Peace Mother F’ers, I’m out!” Rather he handed them scripts, stories for episodes 7-9 and said “Now go forth and make shit tons of money and praise from fans”. So what does Lucas Film do with this lay-up? They shit canned it, straight to the round file.m, threw it on the burn pit! The infuriating part for fans is that failure, after failure, after failure, after failure, and on and on, Lucas Film just keeps running the same play. Their playbook literally has one play that continues to fail. It’s as if they’re brained damaged or a room full of mentally handicapped people all bouncing ideas of each other, -that’s not problematic. The numbers and failure of revenue projections alone should send a clear signal , but it doesn’t! Please, include George, get his advice, put him in charge for a period if he’s agreeable to it. Who knows, could be worse with Lucas, I don’t think it would be, but at the very least, something different would be happening. The other simple solution is to adapt Star Wars novels, (which they own the rights to) to big screen and series and don’t monkey with them too much, except in the spirit of the difficulties of adapting books to film. In other words, in a novel, you often get an internal monologue or thought process from a character, their internal point of view. When adapting a book to screen, most of this has to be left out or it needs to be conveyed in different ways where possible. For example sometimes they can get a point across through body language. Novels are adapted to screen routinely and in some ways is almost more difficult. And talk about pissed off fans that read the book(s) first, oh man. The point is, it’s done all the time, it would be instant success for Star Wars, Lucas Film, Filoni and ultimately the fans and shareholders.
