We just spent our first weekend there. Great park with miles of trails. My only complaint is the dump station is very tight with traffic going in two directions and a steep drop off on one side. Saw a couple trailers look like they were close to tipping over because they went a little too far off the edge of the road. Guess it was built before everyone had these huge travel trailers. Still wouldn’t stop me from going back though. Great video!!

We enjoyed Sleepy Hollow too, and will likely get back there someday. It does seem a bit dated, but I heard that Michigan state parks are doing a lot of renovations so perhaps they will improve the dump station. Thanks for watching, and for your nice comments! 😊

Paint Creek was made a watershed by damming it just like Rocky Fork Creek. Rocky Fork was much older than it’s life expectancy so the dammed Paint Creek. I grew up in that area on a pig farm and remember it fondly. I had a few fishing boats growing up and did lots of fishing etc… The 7 Caves was a popular visit that sets on the Rocky Fork but just below there it dumps in Paint Creek. I think you’ll enjoy that area! Hillsboro is a short drive if you need major groceries or department story type items.
