Another note on super spicy sprays: The power boost given by using a spray differs between Pikmin types. Ice, white and pink all get a substantally lager power boost from sprays relative to other types. It frankly makes ice Pikmin stupid broken, as once sprayed they do more damage than reds and freeze enemies twice as fast

Sage Trials are no joke, no shame in resetting a few times to develop a strategy. Your first attempt at the white onion was almost perfect, you just needed to use the Idler's Alert a few times to keep your party size larger. Personally, I hotkey it and use it basically any time a treasure is collected. Good work clearing the first half without the pluckaphone!

Yeah, these trials were rough. I really don't like bringing as much irritation to my videos as I have in this one, but man it is real lol. Getting the pluckaphone before coming in here would have helped a lot.

Finally got pluck! It's one of the first abilities I get because it's effectively a 50% speed boost while plucking, and Pikmin has you do a lot of plucking. Command Lvl 3, Heal, and Doggy Paddle Lvl 3 are not terribly useful, so I get those last and have lots of pup drive for more useful skills (like pluck!)

The most efficient (and frankly hilarious) way to kill the crab monsters is to just chuck 30 or so pikmin at him and walk away. 0 deaths and 0 thought, the crabs kill pikmin too slowly to be a threat

Yeah there's a number of enemies in this game that don't really pose much threat. They can certainly keep your pikmin busy which is annoying, but they don't do much to actually kill any of the pikmin.

HP and MP are the hardest stats to get to max level. Best advice is honestly to make use of the Restaurant. It's expensive but quickly becomes the only way to keep raising your HP and MP.

The three biggest tips I can give for getting higher stats are: 1) Fighting is more efficient than Training. As soon as you are strong enough to, fight wild Digimon instead of training. 2) Invest in stat boosting Trainer skills and avoid life extending Trainer skills 3) Digimon going into new generations is your best friend for leveling up. We also got our Digimon desynced in the first generation which made stat gains more effective (if one Digimon is at a lower stage than your other Digimon, they get a stat gain bonus). 4) Also, if you can afford it eating at the Restaurant is a great way to get some extra stats, but it can be very costly (especially in the early game).

Yeah it seems like on a second playthrough he it would be no problem. As long as you know what he is going to do its super easy to avoid. But man if he gets you with the gas you are just out of commission for a long time.

Hey randomly discovered this video and it’s nice ! You speak about what you’re wanting to do next and now in a way that feels like your pal is on the sofa with you. Dandori wise- you should use oatchi’s charge more often to slam pikmin into enemies, try mapping a few of your most used items to the d-pad, it’s a life saver to have the idle alert one click away, and trust your pikmin to do things in the background :) piles of gold for example that are for 20 pikmin can be done in the background if you leave 5 on it- they’ll do it in 4 trips automatically. ⚔️🥳⚔️

I'm not sure why he won't fight you. The only consistent thing I'm finding online is that you need to have at least 150 monster registered.

FYI, super spicy nectar converts all your pikmin into flower pikmin in addition to providing an attack/speed boost, so it's even better than regular nectar Kingdom of Beasts is a great place to farm spicy sprays, since that bush has mitites which only drop spicy nectar

Two tips: If you press the "-" key, you can access shortcuts and set Idler's Alert to something on your D-pad. It really helps to keep idle Pikmin under control. Also, you seem familiar with Pikmin 3. If you disband your party, Oatchi also goes idle, then you can switch to him and give him a "Go Here" command just like in Pikmin 3. Send him to break walls, pull heavy stuff, etc. Great video, I... look forward... to watching your Dandori grow

Just now found this video, it's pretty good. Breath of Fire 2 (the GBA version) was my introduction to the series, so obviously I hold a great fondness for it. I do have to agree with what you said by its plot being so much more complex, in a good way. There's just some emotional beats it hits that I don't think the first game really reaches. Like when you finally find your father again serving as a living battery, and you have to avoid using AoE spells if you want to free him from his prison (I was 8 when I played, so I did NOT realize this. Dad sadly died that day because I just wanted to finish the fight quickly.) The Shaman system is honestly something I wish more games would do, obviously there's some titles that have elemental modifications, but it's so rarely that they completely change a character in both mechanics AND appearance. Fusing my characters with Shamans felt less like equipping an item and more like doing a Yu-Gi-Oh Fusion, it was amazing for my little kid brain. I do stand by your point about the battle items, mostly because I forgot those were even a thing for most of the game regardless of how many times I've played it, outside of herbs and the like.

Yeah, overall I really do think BoF2 is a better game than BoF1. But I have much more nostalgia for the first game and find myself going back to it more often. Probably because it is an easier game to play and follow so it was easier for me to play through it as a child. Also Infinity in BoF2 is massive and I really hate going through it even as an adult haha.

I won't lie, training by fighting is way more effective then training at the gym. You will get better states with less negative effects. Awesome video BTW keep them up!

I'm sorry you feel that way. Unfortunately this game does take quite a while to really get going, and by its nature it's pretty slow paced and grindy. And unlike other similar games we've played on the channel, we also aren't very familiar with this one. So this will definitely be a slower, more exploratory playthrough rather than a more targeted, walkthrough sort of style. I've tried to keep the episodes a little longer than I usually would to compensate for that.

I know a ton of people love those games, but we just don't have the same emotional attachment to them as we do for Red and Blue. That being said, I won't rule it out completely. Enemys in this game have unlimited PP Ditto struggles cause is doesnt get the moves of what it transformes into. It has only transform and thats it

The best way we found to get multiples of the same monster is to use two sirloin. Using three sirloin could increase your odds, but we found that two sirloin will usually do the trick. Either that or a meteorb, that's a guarantee. However those are much harder to get a good hold of.

Yeah, Tim had plans for what we wanted to get but the game had other ideas haha. As the Dragon Warrior Monster games will continue to prove after this series, it isn't a proper monster raiser if the game doesn't throw us some screwballs.

Something I should point out. From what I’ve heard, upon reaching the level cap regular enemies don’t give out any more star points, but bosses do. So if you level up again, you can softlock yourself because nothing is eligible for a level up.
