If he looks back at this video its teaches another important thing! His right stick is always higher than is left! this will create an imbalance when going faster and also make it sound chumpie with as there will be an unwanted accent. This can be solve ( similar to a boxer having a string around his ankles ) is attacking a little piece wire or cardboard forming a half square just over his practice pad so that he must practice lifting his sticks just under the square without touching the top edge. so that way we learn to lift the sticks at the same height creating the same dynamic sound.

Good observation and dig the boxer analogy! However if one squeezes and adds force in one hand or the other, the same height will resort in an uneven dynamic sound... Thanks, Kevin

@@KevinCrabbDrums What I meant was the height of the stick, Yes you do it visually ( or even with another stick in one hand ) and yes of course you just add a bit more or less lift power to adjust but its something I noticed how even some drummer's like Mike Mangini for instance has such dynamic control.

He is playing an electric drum set. The precise drum sound can be achieved by even a beginning drummer on an e-kit. Could he have as good of a precise drum sound on an accustic kit? His grove, however, was cool.

@@Iamadrummer so you're assuming he can't tune acoustic drums to have tight sound? What in your opinion is a 'precise' drum sound? Does his snare not sound precisely like a snare drum? Precision is at play here because of how precise his strokes are, and yes I guarantee he can play with that level of precision on an acoustic kit.
