These have been great lectures so far. Research informed, yet clear and to the point. I've taken 6 pages of notes integrating these finding into my existing understanding of the coaching framework and my approach to working with clients.I look forward to viewing the next one. Thank you :)

As a potential client, I find this video completely unhelpful. It doesn’t answer any of my questions, such as how coaching differs from therapy.

It perfectly describes the way we should consider coaching and self-improvement in our lives.
That is one the best demonstrations of coaching I have ever seen. The physicalization of the dilemma as well as the coaching tools. The coaches role in supplying those tools at the right time but the client putting in the work and the effort. Brilliant!

Sharing a piece on an how to move beyond ambivalence MOVING BEYOND AMBIVALENCE Ambivalence is what we experience when we have two opposing feelings simultaneously toward an individual, situation or object. Although all of us have experienced ambivalent feelings at some time or another, chronic feelings of ambivalence can be emotionally debilitating. Ambivalent thinking leads to avoidance, procrastination, inhibits emotional growth and maturity, and prevents us from reaching our full potential. From this perspective, the alternative to living with a chronic pattern of ambivalence would be to resolve internal conflicts that prevent one from taking action, making decisions, expressing how you feel, and being fully present. Issues around connection, intimacy, and separation are often at the root of an ambivalent stance. To be fully here is to accept the fragility and imperfections of life, to “go for it” despite the possibility it could be gone in the next moment. Here are four tips to help you cope with ambivalence: 1. Write down your ambivalent feelings and the circumstances in which they occur. 2. Remind yourself that no person or situation is perfect and that all people and circumstances have both positive and negative aspects. 3. Recognize and accept your ambivalent feelings. Do not force yourself to make a rash decision. 4. Consider seeking professional help in order to help you examine and sort out your ambivalent feelings.
