Saturdays race was at Lady Longears in Woodbine, MD. Sunday was just a local game show. Plug is a gaming class that’s basically like running to the third barrel and back again

I'm new to ranch riding and been riding in split reins.is it easier to ride in romal reins? Love ur videos😊

It really depends on you and your horse and what you are comfortable with! Romals are considered more advanced and used primarily in bridle horses. You can “cheat” a little more with split reins to help your horse when needed while romals have to be used a certain way. I wouldn’t say they are “easier” but more advanced and something you can always try and see how your horse handles. I recommend reading/watching videos about their proper use and handling if you’re considering switching!

My horse always dodges the first barrel and then bolts off, Have any suggestions on how to stop her from doing that? We have had lots of professionals come ride her but they don't know why she does it either...
