This model originally came with 3/8 pitch bar/chain. The OEM comes with .325 (for a reason), so Neotec started making both options.

These cheap chainsaws are usually heavier than the branded chainsaws. Personally my favorite is the husqvarna 550xp my husqvarna 550xp mark2 has a weight of 6.9kg with 45 bar and chain

@@Alexej-h5y that is true, because they are made of mostly plastic. I have a Husqvarna 440 and 435.

Amazon stopped selling that model due to too many returns. The Uighurs who work at the factory are often distracted by a missing organ or two.

@@Joe_Blo Really, I bought it just this year. And I just checked that Amazon still carries that model. So you are wrong.
@Joe_Blo4 күн бұрын
@@RustyMi They did stop & discontinued it. It was cheaper too. Then they restarted at a higher price. Likely renegotiated terms to cover defective models.

What id is stamped on the Neotec bar? Could they have sent the wrong chain,like a 58 guage instead of 50?
@RustyMi2 ай бұрын
The NeoTec bar has .50 gauge stamped on it and .325 pitch, the saw had 3/8" sprocket. The chain came in a clear plastic bag labeled .325 pitch and .50 gauge, but like you said they could have sent the wrong chain. I contacted NeoTec for support as Amazon won't allow it to be returned now that it has been used so far, no response. I will probably contact Amazon customer service and see if I can get a partial refund for the cost of a new chain.

I've had my Massimo T-550 for a week and the touch screen is falling off. Can't get local warrantee done - 60 miles away - with zero indication as to how long it would take to fix. Less than 50 miles and in the shop. If i could figure out how to get to the back of it to insert 3 screws I could do that. But anything i do to it voids the warrantee.

I just picked up a 560 which is essentially the same rig. Seems like a ton of heat comes up through the back of the seat and even off the radiator through the steering column opening, just curious if that makes any noticeable difference in the winter or if the heater is needed. Greetings from the Yoop
@RustyMi2 ай бұрын
Yeah, the heat from engine does help, but when it gets really cold it's still going to be cold inside. But if you dress warm it isn't that bad. I just installed the heater because I wanted to add all the bells and whistles. It was inexpensive too, or else I probably wouldn't.

So what's the difference in the ack and acg ones? I saw one was like 6 dollars more. I ordered the acg one today
@RustyMi3 ай бұрын
The difference between the two is that the ACG model has Clear view window for the gas tank, plastic on/off switch vs cheap metal toggle switch, easy snap to close air filter cover vs screw on, it also has a spot on the bottom handle for a scwrench. The ACK Model has a throttle lock, and it looks like it also comes with two bars. But the ACG model look to like it is better quality all around. Closer to a top dollar saw than the other.

Lift the seat the air filter is in the center, there are 3 clips on the canister that houses the air filter. Once you undo all 3 clips the front comes off and you can pull the air filter out.

No it looks like it is missing a small part to hold it in. I think maybe they use that same handle assembly on other model chainsaws and just didn't include the part needed for this saw.
