The second you started cutting the quarter I thought, I hope he's moved that wire in the pillar. Only because I did exactly the same but luckily only just say cut one wire. 😂😂

Nice work I'm doing almost the same jobs and panels on my 1970 Mk3 shell. Take a look if you get a spare moment some times the original panels that you make a jig from can be a bit off so don‘t worry too much. Remember in the factory they had hundreds of jigs and there were anomalies in the shut lines. Cheers Dave

Hi thanks for the comments, the front subframe wasn’t in at this stage, remember it’s just tech screws holding it in place for now, pt2 maybe reveal all, but thanks for asking, we all need to be kept on our toes 👍😂

Love it.! I've been doing the same thing this weekend, sorting the door gaps etc and fitting the front end. Very satisfying seeing the car become a car once more. You boys are smashing it 👊

Thanks for that, hope yours is going good, it’s a lot of graft which I’m sure yourself can appreciate just getting gaps etc correct, always good to hear for others doing the same

That's the trouble when you start digging underneath you find more rot and many plates on plates and people do right bodge jobs as well cut it all out and put new floor and sills but you have a big job hope your good with your mig welder I've had plenty of jobs where I've had to sort other peoples horrible work before and nothing worse hate people who bodge jobs out goings luck mate

Not very often them subframe bolts come out mate. They corrode because they are too long and the end bit in the sill corrode. I covered mine in copper slip so hopefully they'll come out ok next time 👍 The new garage should be better to work in 👌
