My son bought me a 65 Chevelle for my 70th birthday, it was an older build so there are plenty of things for us to update. Thanks for sharing this with me, I’ll soak up the time working on our car so hopefully he’ll have those memories. Your dad was a lucky man.

why don't you use the air gun to cool your welds faster like Bad Chad.

Nice ride! I have a 1979 El Camino that I got from my dad and I need to replace both side mirrors. The screws or whatever is holding the mirrors on isn't visible from the outside. It looks like I'll have to remove the inner door panel in order to access the mirror housing. I got the bottom part of the panel off but the top part is giving me issues due to not being able to remove the handle crank for the window. Do you know how to remove the handle crank for the window? I don't want to take the car to a shop just to have the mirrors replaced because of the labor costs. If I can do it myself then that would be great.
@rods.by.rooster
@rods.by.rooster Жыл бұрын
Thanks brother the window crank is held on with a small spring clip if you don't have a window crank removal tool a shop rag will work as well. Place the rag on the extended part of the handle and work it back and forth and the clip will pop off. Make sure to keep track of the clip replace and it will just press back on. With the window up you should be easily able to access the mirror bolts with ease. Bomb Chicken you're done.
