I just picked up Three Houses. I first played 7 on GBA when it first came to North America way back when. After Fates i was worried the series was going too strongly in the anime weeb direction, which I am concerned of as you are. Seeing this video though made me feel more confident in buying the game. I'm glad to hear how loved TH is. Can't wait for the download to finish so I can try it out for myself. Still on the shelf for Engage though. Idk. That one definitely seems very anime. Hope whatever new game they make is a tiny bit less anime. I like anime but still... :/

It was more than good. It was a great 82/100 game, but the close-mindedness from fans gave the game a bad reputation, and furthermore, it did not sell as well as Star Fox 64, and thus, Nintendo will most likely never try something like that again, which is unfortunate. The situation that the Star Fox series is currently undergoing is due to a combination of both Nintendo and fans, who are both to blame for this current situation. Hopefully, one day Star Fox will return in the blaze of glory, but if Nintendo and the Fans continue to be at odds with each other, then this series will never be able to live up to the amazing potential that it has.

I'm still tryna figure out how Star Fox Adventures, a game with better graphics, music, world, combos, villains etc. is viewed as a mediocre Zelda game lol. Like dawg are we being fr rn? Star Fox Adventures even has voice acting not subtitles

Star Fox Adventures is definitely one of the few games where it needs a full-on remake because there is stuff where it didn't right with me. Like the archwing sections being a last-minute decision, general scales as a whole, krystal being sidelined where it could've been a interesting idea where fox and krystal being playable characters, there's more I like to say but it might go into rant terrority.

I quit games years ago. My kid came home with a modded wii his friend gave him. The first thing I did was download a 20 year old Fire Emblem game man. There is something about those games. Now I'm online looking at buying a switch to play to new ones.

I had the same experience with Batman comics. I read old Batman comics to laugh at them and ended up finding a deep story about a mentally unstable hero fighting in a depressingly hopeless dark city.

If you haven’t, then absolutely play the original Final Fantasy Tactics on PS1 (screw that weird script PSP remake), then Suikoden 1 & 2, then Tactics Ogre for PS1 (again: ignore the remakes)

Bernadetta. 😂 Edit: oh, and also I chose Black Eagles first, then Golden Deer, and am indeed gonna slog through Blue Lions and the rest eventually, but I am NOT playing any DLC, because I try to see every bit of dialogue and it takes…….*a while.*

I'm grateful I was around to see the glory days of Amino before it came apart. I got lucky and escaped any stalkers or harassment due to the Xenoblade Amino community team actually gave a damn about their reputation/user safety and ran a decently tight ship. Probably also helps that Xenoblade is more geared towards an older audience, meaning we'd get teenage drama instead of kid drama. It ultimately provided an outlet for me to show my love for the series especially as I had no friends irl who enjoyed the games, and very little of a support network. I made a few friends and ultimately the community i was in being well ran as it was is the reason I even felt comfortable posting my terrible novice fanart there at all. Sad to see what it became

Star Fox adventures, is not a game that wanted to try something different. Let's just be clear about that. Star Fox adventures is the result of s******* on one of your developers for the sake of trying to push a brand name IP out, for the lack of innovation, because ratchet & clank is kicking your f****** ass. That's what Star Fox adventures is. Star Fox adventures, was originally supposed to be dinosaur planet for the Nintendo 64, and was supposed to feature Crystal Fox as the main protagonist, however instead the project was shelved in favor of Conker's bad for a day, which to be fair was really really f****** good for its time and error, and was shelved yet again for the remake of Conker's bad for a day, which was not to be fair, at all a really really bad decision. By which point rare, and Nintendo had absolutely nothing in the tank left, rash and clank and ratchet & clank going commando, came out beating a feet that was set by Capcom beating a record in fact, a feet of engineering, by releasing the sequel game to its first game in a franchise, in a 4-month period. Capcom had released resident Evil 2 6 months after resident Evil 1 and resident Evil 2 was still a market success, rash and clank did this in 4 months, by releasing going commando. Between ratchet & clank and Jak and daxter, Nintendo literally did not have a single f****** thing to compete with them. Now that sounds absurd, but when you look at it on its bare face, ratchet & clank was like the legend of Zelda of the PS2, in fact I didn't play quake 3, God of War, killing floor, I didn't play any of those games, cuz I was busy grinding out ratchet and clank. Where as you look at the GameCube, and the GameCube had like two Legend of Zelda titles that were not very good or very well received. Nintendo was banking on resident Evil 4 being a GameCube exclusive, which Capcom actually hated doing, and they went back out on that deal, even getting sued Biden Nintendo, Capcom hated the GameCube, because it was literally inferior to the PS2 and Xbox in every single f****** way. So Nintendo was kind of hurting, and then Halo came around, and oh boy did Halo come around, Halo 1, and then Halo 2, ratchet and clank had its third installment, and Nintendo was kind of grasping anything they had, so they went and dugged up through their f****** archives, a project that should have been made as the original creator intended. Instead they f****** sidelined him, swept his ass under the rug, and brought in the Star Fox team, to take his idea, butcher it, and make Star Fox adventures. The game plays not the greatest, it's average, it's definitely not a ratchet & clank killer, funnily enough the ratchet & clank killer is sprouts and clank itself, as we would find in the future, however, the point is is this game was subpar, for Nintendo standards at the time, and actually was probably the beginning of the downturn of Nintendo overall, cuz this be real The Wii and the Wii u are not that f****** great either. So the subpark game comes out, and it's not terrible, it's not really great either, it's an okay game, but the biggest f****** gripe the community has, are the people who watch Nintendo s*** on one of their lower end devs, kill a game that had potential, and destroy a franchise before even ever got a chance, which is not a good look, and it is especially easy thing for the dev, the creator of the original idea to do, to release their original concept and ideas, which were clearly more well thought out and better written than the game Nintendo pumped out. Nintendo even desperately made a sequel to the game which was equally lackluster, they sidelined Hey Dev, killed his creation, and stole all his ideas, and later even kicked him out of the company, in other words they pulled an EA, or you could even go as far to say as they pulled a Disney, in fact I'm pretty sure considering Disney had already been doing these type of things for a few decades, that they got the idea of doing from Disney. Now if we look at what Nintendo was after the GameCube, let's be real, they were mostly Mario kart and Mario party, everything else got f****** sidelined or unsupported, including Zelda, I don't understand why they just keep giving Zelda the middle finger, it's not like pokémon's doing well, but they do, and they refuse to not overprice their consoles, they have this idea that their consoles need to be priced the same as other consoles, and other consoles are already a rip off, but it's especially insulting when every other console is superior to yours, but you're going to sit there and charge the same ripoff price, like I got a $60 laptop off of back market, that outperforms even the PS5, outperforms all the Xboxes, and absolutely anything Nintendo can pump out. This is not even me like doing some kind of PC master race type thing, my first two consoles was literally the SNES and then the Nintendo 64, I still have a Sega Genesis, and I have a PS1, a two, three, and a four, to be clear I have two PS ones and two PS4s, a PSP, and Xbox One, a 360, I still own a 64, and I have a 3DS, also a DS. My point is, if you're going to have the most inferior console in the market, if you're extremely limited library, you can't charge $800 for a switch pro plus whatever the f***, when Sony's already moved on to their next console. To be clear also, f*** Sony, and f*** the PS5, that you've burned that bridge with me the consumer as well.

Love or hate the gameplay aspects, Star Fox Adventures was one of the most gorgeous games on the system with regard to graphics. Rare always had a knack for creating titles that pushed their respective systems to the graphical limits, and that was on full display with the last game that they ever developed under Nintendo's banner.
