Looks incredibly boring for a modern rollercoaster
@MarcusGainesCoasterTouring9 күн бұрын
@@louisburland5346 it’s enormous fun for a modern rollercoaster. Lots of great elements packed into a narrow footprint. They’ve managed to cram a lot in to relatively little space, and the perfect mix of different elements. One of my favourite new coasters of 2023.

It's basically Fire In The Hole at Silver Dollar City, but with the theme of the Haunted Mansion, and the backwards motion added.

Having had the Pleasure/Honour of knowing Cy Abbott and working alongside both him and Beverly on NYNY for the past 4 or 5 years, i can tell you 14 hours is SLOW !! Earlier this year (before Cy sold it), we were open in Grantham till around 9pm.. Then, we pulled down & drove straight through to Barnsley... After getting around 3 hours sleep, we done a 'full flash' build up and were ready to open by 3pm that day !!

As a boy in the 70s, I loved the fair pulling into our town for a week. I just loved watching the build-up. How these guys and gal's lived, I just wanted to travel with them, but Mother wouldn't allow that ,never mind school. I would say. Then the fair it's self especially at night great atmosphere, the lights, the noise, it will always stay with me great times

Thank you for recording this process, truly incredible to see. This is my 11th year doing Carpentry, Journeyed out through local 322, and I’ve helped build all kinds of cool things from pole barns to high rises, houses, commercial buildings, grocery stores, even an airplane hanger once. Currently I work as a full time Carpenter on the maintenance side of an amusement park and the first thing we do every morning (On operating days the coasters are ran) is walk and inspect our two wooden coasters. I’ve always had a fascination with architecture and since working here I’ve become so intrigued by the design of wooden coasters and often find myself wondering how the heck they build these things. This video was actually super informative for me despite it being more of a montage. Definitely answered more than a few questions I had about the process of how they are built. I have been thinking about trying to make a replica of one of the wooden coasters we have here, scaled down of course, but scaled down from real measurements I pull from the coaster. I think it would be a fun little project, and would probably help me at work too having an even better understanding of the coaster as a whole. Thank you again for sharing this, I liked and subbed and plan on checking out more of your channel. I also second the other comment about a longer version of this video. Would love to see what you got in that 6 hours of footage 😁 Keep up the good work and have an awesome day!

We Americans do have fairs, you know? 😂 Also, half of the rides in this video depict American characters and places.
@MarcusGainesCoasterTouring6 ай бұрын
I’ve been to many fairs in America, have filmed with a number of American showmen, have filmed a number of rides belonging to American showmen whilst under construction at factories in Europe. Out of interest, which of your fairs are a charter fair? Charter fairs are ones that date back hundreds of years and are protected in law having been granted by the monarchy. Several countries have charter fairs, but wasn’t aware you had them in America. It’s charter fairs that are specifically referenced in the opening sequence. There’s no mention of America not having any fairs.
