This is such a great tutorial for the Tesseract, and I love that it still looks good/accurate even when the lights aren’t on which is something I was struggling with figuring out how to achieve! Using a baseball display case is such a fantastic idea, too. I’m making Vash’s gate cube from episode 12 of Trigun Stampede, which is basically identical to the Tesseract but purple, haha. Thank you so much for sharing your process! 💖

I found a front cover design on Pinterest, sized it up to fit the cover of my book, and used tracing paper and a white pencil to transfer the design!

This is honestly a great tutorial but for anyone who either can't get a hardcover book or can't bring themselves to hurt one, I would definitely suggest just making one with paper and cardboard.

Have you ever tried that outfit on in front of a fan or gone out in it on a windy day? I've played the Phantom in two high school plays, and it was always so much fun when the cape was billowing around me like an ebony specter.

Yes! I ended up wearing this cosplay through London - it felt really epic to walk down the street past the theatre where Phantom is with my cloak billowing!

PhantomTea Awesome! I don't know why, but wearing a cloak just feels so awesome on a windy day. I'm tall with broad shoulders, so I often get cast as the villain; so often I'm usually wearing a cloak or a robe when I'm putting on a show. XD Try being the Headless Horseman (or Horsewoman) for Halloween some time. When someone in a car sees a tall, dark, and headless figure racing a horse alongside them with a cape billowing behind them, I guarantee they will never forget it.
