used t9 vacation in Watch Hill back in the late 80's. Back then it was a small, quiet vacation getaway that many had no interest goibg to, because tgere were was no night life, no clubs and no high end bars. Just a peaceful local comminuty that made sure that those who received commercial licenses were very limited to small business enterprises. I had heardxand read about the hurricane that hadcwiped all but one of tye grand hotels on the beachfront. Only the Ocean House had survived, and it was in such a state of disrepair that it no longer offered any of it's previous grandeur. I read that it was compketely renovatedxand is now a 4 star hotel for the rich. Happy to hear that .

Thank you❤ My mother 6years and grandmother lived in Providence. I don’t know how they survived. They were downtown and my mother said that suddenly all glass exploded. My grandmother had a spa, but sent my mother to Sweden from where she originated, closed down her buisness and returned. My mother had never spoken a word swedish before. I think my grandmother got PTSD, started drinking and took it out on my mother. It must have been such a terrible experience and I do not know what they went through.😢

The ride you named "Apallo" is nothing of the like. Apallo was a smaller version of the Musik Express. The ride you labled Apallo was a The Rocket ride but in the background was the "Sky Diver'. Otherwise, thank you for the reminder of what once was a thriving park. I was an employee from 1989 - 1992,

The ride they called the Bug was a fairly rare ride. We had one outside of St.Louis at the Westlake Amusment Park in Bridgeton. It was one of my favorite rides when I was young. My grandparent home where I was living at the time was on a high and you could see the last part of the Thunderbolt Coaster and her the chugging sound the motor that drove the arms of the Tumble Bug around the circle of small hills.
