Do you take free commissions? Im too broke and too celery brained to know how to make a avatar from scratch. If you don't, could you tell me where I could a model similar to that Ralsei?

Marmoset Toolbag 5 is great too
@SamDutterАй бұрын
Yeah, I think I would reccommend Marmoset over InstaMat when it comes to painting. Still nice to have another procgen material creator but there are some major paint points in Instamat atm.
@harrysanders818Ай бұрын
@@SamDutter You wrote "paint" points :D Instamat is a great Substance Designer replacement for me, it is even more powerful and the learning Curve is not that hard when you know your way around Designer. It even has Game Engine integration. For me it is a no brainer in that regard, and one reason I cancelled my Adobe sub. Plus, their free realistic base mats look really good too. Image synthesis is pretty killer as well. As well is their Material Layering, because opposed to Mixer or Alchemist, you can actually paint onto your material results. I haven't extensively tried their Layered Painting, yet, but I saw loads of crazy features like Volume masks which seem very powerful. However, I deeply Love Marmoset Toolbag 5 Texturing. The "both ways" layer stack is absolutely insane. Among other things, like PBR layers locking, and more, that are very artist oriented and basically an evolution to Substance Painter. It basically offers the best of both worlds, 3D Coats hands on artistic Painting, and Painters robust workflows. - I am very curious to try the Instamat Studio Mesh Optimization tools like Voxel based decimation and auto unwrapping.

Would it be possible to do this in reverse? Making a VRChat skeleton from a rigify rig?
@SamDutterАй бұрын
Yeah! It’s basically the same process, just using the templates in the reverse order

It creates a new rig for you, converting from one rig format to another. Very useful if you need to use a character and a different software.

Id really like to learn how you make clothes so volumous, giving them borders and such, I can get the basic shape, but I really need to learn how to add details.

Reference is key! I think even a simple drawing can help guide 3-D model. It’s difficult to improvise in blender.

Hi, as for me the anchor points was THE thing missing in InstaMat. I approached it in a bit different way, I just make entire anchor as a graph. Every operation you can do in layering project you can do in a graph, painting included. Another thing missing that can be solved in the same way are filters for masks. Utilizing the power of a graph makes anchors much more powerful than in SP. Thanks for showing another great method that might be actually faster for people who prefer to work with layers.

good script! I've used it to save me some headache when loosing my shapekeys in blender. One quick note though: The script assumes you've named your armature "rig". So if it's not working that could be why :) just rename it and you're good
