So glad I stumbled across your tutorial, I know how to do short rows and read charts but that map had me perplexed and you gave me the confidence to get through the first repeat and untangle me! From then it was on plain sailing, will link here from my ravelry project once I get the photos up if that's OK with you? More would be toph knitters need to be pointed this way. x

so a sl1yo stitch is actually 2 separate stitches? one to “slip” and then to “knit”?
@knittingwithuntangledpurls4841
@knittingwithuntangledpurls4841 3 жыл бұрын
The S1YO is just one stitch - With yarn in front - slip next stitch then bring yarn over the needle (& slip stitch) to the back. That YO is not locked in until you do the next stitch. If next stitch is a knit yarn is ready to use in back, if Next stitch is a Purl you will need to bring yo yarn to front of needle (actually wrapping yo completely around the needle)

This is my fault (Suzanne here, I’ve been editing the videos). I accidentally edited a little to much, what you’re going to want to do is run your needles back through, passing over stitches until you’re able to get them into the same position. I’m so sorry!

Thank you for joining our 1st VKAL. It has been a learning experience for all of us but we are having fun. Just slip 42 stitches (1/2 of the total) & your needles will be in the correct position once you twist the cowl.
