Halloween is celebrated in America. It is an American custom that we've unfortunately imported. It is not part of British culture.

@@johnough4893 Yes I'm aware it is celebrated in America and also other countries. But it originated in the UK and it is part of our culture which is all this video is about. In December I may record a video about Christmas, which is celebrated worldwide, but it is still part of British culture. I hope this helps 🙂

Whilst I'd agree about trick-or-treat and pumpkins not being a British tradition, both definitely started in the US. The festival itself, which originated in this country as Samhain, is definitely part of British culture. It always baffles me that for 364 days in a year parents admonish their children not to take sweets from strangers, but on one day a year send them out to beg for sweets from strangers.

@@ronwilson9815 I've just checked and there isn't anything wrong with the audio, so I don't know what the problem could be. I'm only using the microphone on my chromebook and it isn't a great microphone. I will experiment with other microphones and invest in a much better set up when I'm able to. They are all very similar. I think "knackered" is only used in the UK and "fatigued" is used mainly when you have very little energy, maybe due to exercise, but you don't necessarily feel sleepy

@@ТимофейСигида-х5у To learn any language, the most important thing is to listen and read a lot in that language, motivation helps too. I would recommend checking out Steve Kaufmann on KZbin. He is a Canadian Polyglot and I think he can speak Polish as well as 20 other languages at different levels
