Try this. Log 125 / log (1/5) that should give you the answer. That’s the trick when your long is a different base, you use log base 10 instead. Don't forget to (leisurely) refer to the original Casio fx-6200G manual, that this cheap plastic knock-off from Mainland is counterfeiting here (33 years later 🤣)

You can't, only if you start off with a fractions using the a b/c button like 1/3 + 4/3 = then you get 1 2/3 then press a b/c you get 1.66666 then a b/c and you get 1 2/3.

If you used the fraction mode to enter a fraction and then got a fraction answer, just press the AB/C button, gives you the answer in decimal form. Hope that helps.

It's plastic. I don't remember any Scientific calculator being metal. Not even my HP 48sx nor my TI 36X anylite calculator.

What you do is use the arrow keys and place the cursor at the front of the 8 like 98|3847 and then press DEL the green key for delete. Try that. Tell me if it worked. Also, please tell your friends and teacher of the video. thx

p.105 in the original Casio fx-6200G manual from 1991 - error in your formula, use <- or -> navigation buttons to get to the error and correct it.

It doesn't seem so. It has a abs subkey at the ) key above, but it doesn't work in normal mode, you have to use the Mode button and use the CMPLX mode, there you can use the abs key, but it doesn't see like it's very useful. If I find anything else, I'll let you know. Or if you can figure it out, tell us.

I can see how that would be, especially the arrow keys. Nothing like my HP 48sx, now that was a calculator.

What you do is click on the S <=> D button, and that will work.

So when I place 2.34X10^-4 I get a fraction of 117/500000 to change that to a decimal do the following. Click on shift and mode, choose 6, then 9. Then press the S<=>D button, and you will get your 0.000234000. Please share this with your friends and teacher! Good luck this semester.

If you have a TI 83, You will not have that. A TI 84 there is a wizard setup (kzbin.info/www/bejne/n4WYeJ-Ie953opo ). But don't worry, you don't need the wizard to do this, just make sure you have the same information that you see on the screen.

I know, especially for older adults. Shorts are meant for younger folks under 25 most likely under 20, who like music.

That I know of, you can't. You will have to do it by hand with the calculator.

@@gregnixon1296 These smaller calculators are not meant to do that type of calculations. What you need is software on a computer that can do that for you. There are plenty of software programs online like www.wolframalpha.com. Try it out.

I do have the one when I realized there was a pro. I’ll make a video of that one. I mention the pro at the beginning of the video.

@@cylurian I would say that behind my ti-nspire CXII cas, this is easily my second favourite calculator.....and I think it has a much more elegant look than the goofy cheap looking american versions...Waiting a month for it to ship from Germany sucked though.

I agree. The TI 36X pro that is sold here in the United States, is not elegant. Although it is inexpensive, and for those who can’t afford a TI 83 or TI 84, TI 36X pro will be sufficient. Specifically for first year, Statistics.
