I am in the PNW (Dallas OR, to be exact) , with erosion issues because my soil is mostly clay. You're saying a lot of words, but nothing that's helpful. I have a hill that's been stabilized with a dirt locker system, and now I need cascading plants to stabilize it further. I was hoping you would have provided a lot of information on what to plant as creepers and cascading plants. But I'm many minutes in and this video seems useless. How about you get to the meat of the information and edit out all of the crap that's useless?

I got my grow light on amazon 2 days before our winter storm 2024 . I put my lime tree and kumquat in garage. (I have no windows in garage). I already can't wait until spring time to find a lemon tree. I am so excited to have citrus fruits. I really really wanted a PAW PAW tree. but I don't have room ;( I planted an asian pear tree in late oct 2023 I really hope it survives our 15 degree weather. I'm in Hillsboro . thanks for the info!

I guess there is no way to grow them in the back yard directly in the ground in the pacific northwest?
@jonathanstephens7015
@jonathanstephens7015 Жыл бұрын
Yea there is. But you must plant them in a raised bed very close to the south facing wall of your house. Then during the colder months you have to set up a cover of sorts to protect from frost. There are lots of people growing meyer lemons and satsumas in the Pacific Northwest in this manner. There are also trifoliate hybrids that’s can grow outside unprotected. Here in Salem there are several people I know who grow them on the ground the way I describe WS.

Nancy Jensen, Possibly do you know if your parents used Malgronite to fertilize lawn or flower beds? My parents did and we found that it helps keep the deer away as well as fertilize the flower beds, lawn and it is environmentally friendly.

Zone 7. Have a couple of Sarah Bernhard pink peonies. Never fail cold hard heavy rain when buds are slightly larger than golf balls. Down they go. Tried the look alike tomato cage no go. Bought the peony grow supports. Keeping my fingers crossed..

Hi, I just watched a video about a week ago (but can’t remember the name of it),that showed staking with sticks and soft twine. Determined by the size of the plant they used an amount of foliage colored stakes inserted close to the stocks, let’s say they used 8. They tied the string to the first stake around the mid section level within the area just below the weighty area of the plant and then tied it to every third stake, so 1,4,7, sort of weaved thru existing natural structure of stems, then did it again with 2,5,8. Then they went back, a little higher to the weighty area and weaved thru again using every other stake to support the weighty blossom area, so 1,3,5,7 and then 2,4,6,8. It’s like they created a star shape with the Steiner and stakes. I was convinced it was a crazy method but the updated picture showed them standing tall and secure and the stakes and string blended in. I hope this helps 😊
