How fine is the sanding stick you're using here? About to employ this on the old monogram 1/48 B-17!

1st kit I got was either faulty or stored in a hot place as the turret halves were warped. Same goes for upper deck. But in the 2nd kit I've got the fitting was absolutely perfect.

Looks like a very nice kit! Have you built a Hobby Boss plane? I wonder how the fitment is. I have the sister kit from Hobby Boss in the Iranian version.

This is on my wishlist once I've completed my children's requests (a Short Sunderland for my daughter and a BR52 Kriegslok for my little boy). Plus my best mate wants a 1/48 Lancaster building. The SU-34 is like the Warthog - so ugly it's beautiful. 😊😊😊❤❤❤😊😊😊

What about curved lines? Can you help?
@scaleacesmodeling116 Жыл бұрын
There for I just use Tamiya's Curved Tape. It's probably not the best way to do it and as good as dymo tape but it works for me.
@mister_fjk1972 Жыл бұрын
I make little vertical cuts with scissors along the length of the dymo tape so it is more flexible to follow the curved line

why not just scribe along the raised line, then sand the raised line off.

Building this model kit without replicating the stressed skin and raised rivet detail is not only a waste of time, but an indication as to how lazy the builder is.

HEY. Why are you used a green colour in cockpit? In the instruction is metallic blue. Is this your mistake, or in instruction?

That was my own research. Maybe I'm wrong but that's just the way I did it.

Very interesting video, thanks 4 share, I have another technique without lots of work and you achieve not the same results but the product you get si also nice, you don't have to get rid of the raised panel lines, the only tools you will need are non-reusable fountain pen and a steady hand and see..

Great video. I actually watch this video to get sure about wing root attachment system to the fuselage; it is exactly the same as the 1/72 scale. I'm really concern about seam lines in this point and all along the fuselage on top and under. Wing root in all videos I've watched are the same: modeler leaves the two seam lines at wing root, absolutely visible. Well, looks like I'm going to do so because honestly, I can't find the way to putty and sand without damaging panels and general finishing.

Sept. 15, 2022----Came across this by accident and damn, looks great. Have the same kit, but will use it in a zombie/ apocalypse diorama which I'll title The old ways are best. These figures will be on a slight rise and below them will be several abandoned/damaged cars/trucks on a road. Since there's basically no model car/truck kits in 1/35 scale, bought a lot of diecast ones in 1/32 scale, then found out about 1/36 diecast stuff. And they need some work, like adding seat belts/shoulder harnesses.
