Only one armed movements. Maybe really study the technique and it’s apparent to what the founders (not Villari) GGM Gascon and Godin set it up as.

Not easy maintaining the ability to jump side kick in your older years, even if the jump and kick are lower. Kudos

I did Brazillian Jujutsu for two years. I'll make some honest observations #1. It is true that the better BJJ players can do a better job of countering this. #2. It is ABSOILUTELY TRUE that hitting the eyes, groin and throat, tearing the mouth grabbing the balls and crushing them will stop 99% of the grapplers on the street from continuing to grapple. I've bene in several real world strete fights, inside and outside, once vs a fighter who was both a high school wrestler and later trained USMC hand to hand combat (early 90s) he let go and stood back up after I grabbed his testicles and then kneed him in the head while both of us were on our side. Good grapplers CAN find ways to control a good striker, but these days most grapplers train sport grappling, never train against these kind of attacks. #3. Most BJJ schools have a mythology that groin attacks, eye gouges and throat attacks simply don't work and will never work. THIS IS AS UNTRUE AS IT CAN GET. Anatomy matters.

I used the eagles talon strike & grab along with a tiger claw rake to subdue someone that had me on the ground and it completely stopped him and I literally had his life in my hands as he gasped of air! I let it go and he rolled over in pain! That was 40 years ago after getting my 1st Dan rank from GGM Fred Villari himself at the Dedham studio in the late 70s! Thank you Master Villari!

This guy gets a lot of crap from a lot of people but there is literally nothing here he is saying that isn't true. he's also the same size as he was in the videos from the 1970s, so he's kept active and still works out as far when this was filmed.

Several obvious things can be deduced from this clip. Mind you coming up in the martial arts people called him a fake and fraud and I had no reference point, but just accepted it as more than likely true. Here goes. If you compare this footage to footage of him from the 1970's you can see he lost hair but not speed, accuracy or ability to kick high and on target without great setup. Thus he's been actively working out and practicing since then, not getting out of shape and practice. Second in a style not known for high kicks and spinning kicks, he can demonstrate them spontaneously without excessive contact and yet be on target. that's the mark of an advanced kicker who knows how to guage distance, hit accurately and project force. I find it hilarious people are talking about the hair and the glasses, as if that is worth a milligram of importance. Go look at footage any number of masters from Asia from old footage and you'll things a hundred times stranger looking. I get it there is no footage of him sparring, but honestly this guy discovered shortly after starting his teaching career that his ability to make money, teach people, and transfer his system to black belts that then stayed with him for decades was his skillset, a rare one at that. We have ZERO footage Gichin Funakoshi sparring, or Ip Man, Kenwa Mabuni, Mas Oyama (no unscripted footage), Chojun Miyagi etc. Some people make a career out of sparring competition, some don't. I've since my early days seen scores of his students at competitions, they all do well in forms, weapons, competition sparring and quite a few go into kickboxing, and I'd guess some are transitioning into MMA. His people pressure test, compete and look like legit martial artists too me. people that are so obsessed with this idea that only sparring footage or competitive footage validates martial artists or their styles... Post your footage of you sparring and footage so we can see what a real expert does.

I keep telling people who are just MMA/BJJ/ Muay Thai fans that the push kick, low kick with the shins, clinching, knees, elbows and hand fighting have been and still are part of MODT traditional systems, systems they call "Fake martial arts" (Much to their misnomer). This is a good demonstration of that.

I think it's sad that there's many schools who don't even know their lineage is Fred Villari. Even many of the ones who claim Nick Cerio's kempo don't realize that half their curriculum was developed by Villari. My schools never taught me, I learned through my own research that basically all my black belt content is thanks to him. Very cool to see him perform this.

What's great about this video is the instructor clearly knows what they're doing on the ground, he's just being humble. This guy would twist up the best BJJ players on the planet and still make it home in time for his post 2nd breakfast snack. Keep the instruction coming, I feel safer already!

I'm skeptical that takedown would work reliably by grabbing the arm as done. Getting an underhook would make driving in like that produce a much higher rate of return.

@eljoelo24593 жыл бұрын
He knew boxing is one of the best martial arts for when you have to defend yourself in a fight. I did kenpo and later boxing and I can see how much better Villari's method is. Of course you'll never be invincible but integrating boxing with kempo is a mean combination.
