The way old mate uses the laundry spray you can tell he's got more than a little experience with a paint gun, lol.

I've got the blue version of this tent. Great tent. I bought a Darche A-frame as you didn't offer that at the time of purchase. I like this new colour better too, spewing you didn't have it at the time. May I just make a suggestion for the carry bag. It needs a zip at the top of the bag. The current version keeps the bag half open tbh. Just to add another cost saving option, there is no need for two hoops to keep the window shades in place, one in the middle of the window would do the job just as good. Cheers!
@KulkyneKampers24 күн бұрын
Hey mate, thanks for the feedback! We actually have upgraded the carry bag too with the new smaller packed up size to have a zip so it's sealed up. Brett
@4bnewb969Ай бұрын
That folding roof frame is very clever - it mitigates one of the few downsides of this style of tent; the packed size. What is the packed size ? Also noted the ‘pad’ on the bottom of the pole to help stop it sinking in the floor if you have setup on soft ground Nb like the new colour Cheers
@KulkyneKampers29 күн бұрын
Hey mate! Packed size is about 93 x 16 x 50, the bag is 93 x 16 x 63 (room for the poles). Brett

Nice idea but setup/pack away does seem cumbersome, especially if moving campsite each day. Wondering if you could use a simpler tensioning system with ratchet straps rather than turnbuckles?
@KulkyneKampersАй бұрын
Tried that, it had its issues too. The turnbuckles aren't too bad.

The design of the middle pole being closer to the foot makes a lot of sense. Most 3 pole dome swags are a bugger to get in and out of.

What size does the double roll up to after using it, not from the factory?
@KulkyneKampers3 ай бұрын
Pretty much the same as a normal swag. Length packed up will be the width of the swag set up, diameter will depend on which mattress option you choose.

Hey mate, you'll fit a sleeping bag inside the swag carry bag if it's 1.2kgs or less. If it's a bit bigger you can put it in the accessory bag that comes with the biker swag.

Also the cover looks like has soft top, would like to see it more detailed.

Depends on the length of the tray. The MEGA-950 is more likely to fit than the MEGA-1100

Theres a lot of hype and excitment around the new range of air tube swags. Given the setup time for the stretcher is longer than some because its made so robustly, would an air tube queen swag be a good idea to put on the stretcher ?
@KulkyneKampers9 ай бұрын
Hi mate, I'd recommend out alloy pole swags as they are designed to match specifically to our stretchers. They are almost as quick and easy as air poles anyway, and the finished set up is much better given the connection points.

So a normal weave canvas is better than ripstop for water ingress? If so, that’s good to know.
@KulkyneKampers10 ай бұрын
Certainly through my testing at this price point of swag/canvas the plain has been far superior in water proofing to the ripstop. The ripstop leaks at the point the ripstop stitching crosses.

Hey Brett, have done a load of research - yes especially KZbin but also at some of the competition in the major camping outlets and I’ve taken the plunge for your full Mega 1100 setup, basically sight unseen in terms of physical quality. This is my first ever swag but I’m very satisfied with the few online reviews and comments I can find vs. the major brands and their good / bad points. I can’t wait to get it, season it and try it out. 😊 I’ll be travelling with my pet pup down the East Coast from QLD to VIC, in November, and am excited to be using this setup - I really appreciate the clear attention to detail and thoughtfulness you have taken in your innovative product design and iterations - it may look similar but this is such a well thought out tuning for these style of swags it deserves to be getting great recognition going forward. I’m planning on trying to season using a soak in a bath, as per some other KZbin guides - would you foresee any issue in doing this for the Kulkyne? I can’t think of any reason myself. Also - do you have a specific fly option for the Mega - or would one of your existing flys be suitable? Just need to talk the Minister for Fun & Finances to approve a potential Kulkyne grab bag and I’ll be all set! Cheers!

Love the idea behind these and the double looks like the right size. Problem I'm finding is having a swag that fits hubby and I plus two young kids ( that of course sleep sideways) wonder if the shelf could almost become a bunk in some way?. Young kids it's not safe to have them in there own swag and we don't want to have to break out the big tent if we're only stopping for a night. Love to here ideas on how others manage. My eldest is 4, youngest currently 3 months ( not that that stops us)
@KulkyneKampers10 ай бұрын
I don't think the shelf for a kid to sleep would work. If I was in your position I'd look at our new Igloo swag to sleep Mum and the two kids and a seperate swag for Dad: www.kulkyne.com.au/igloo-air-pole-swag.html. You could potentially sleep the four of you in this for a while if needed.

Hi. I was looking at biker swags to fit on the back of my Ute - so I could sleep on the actual tray. So I’m not worried about storage size but more in use size. Agree with your comments on the general biker swags out there for size and comfort so am very interested in your new mattress option. Can you let me know the height of the swag and would it be stable if not pegged in that situation or pegged only at the head end - maybe tied down to the tow bar instead? Cheers!
@KulkyneKampers10 ай бұрын
Hi mate. These are pretty much free standing so don't worry too much about tie down points. If packed up Sie isn't as much of an issue I'd go with our compact swag as the canvas is heavier: www.kulkyne.com.au/compact-king-single-swag.html
