I like to put stickers in mystery boxes so that if they are bit disappointed in the plushie, at least they have a few stickers they may like. I find the mystery boxes stress me out 😂. I don’t want anyone to feel bad.

A tip for yarn that snaps easily when closing the magic ring - I try to do 2 or 3 stitches in the magic ring and then close it almost all the way, then I do the rest of the stitches and then close it all the way if needed. I find when doing any more than 3 makes it tighter and more likely for the yarn to snap! :)

This happened at my past market, i go to this venue alot, and this was a Christmas one with 50 slots, there was 5 crochet vendors including my self. Thank fully we all had slightly different items. So I still did good

Yes, I totally agree. I went to a market last year that had 8 crocheters there and they put us all next to each other. I made $30 that day. They just accepted everybody that applied for the money.

My products are in a store that sells mostly products from local artists like us. I make pet treats. They have one other vendor who makes treats. But then the owners brought in their own treats that clearly are professional and bought wholesale. One of the owners is always sure to show those treats and rarely shows mine or the other vendor on their lives. I stay because I do make sales but the people who run these things rarely if ever think of the vendor unless the vendor is themselves.

I’m not one to really complain about how many people are crochets at an event however I would have been if I was at an event with only 15 booth and four of us were Crochet. You were smart to postpone your involvement and hopefully that coordinator will follow the rule of only having two of everything specially being that it’s such a small event

I hate when that happens, it’s so frustrating! Hopefully next year is better!

Years ago when I sid craft shows if someone spent alo g time infront of my booth I would go out front and reagrange my stuff. That let me see what the heck was going on. Not rude just checking things out!!!! ENJOY

its not rude at all to ask people not to touch, unless they want to buy!! obviously say it in a nice manner or maybe even add a sign, "only touch with clean hands, thank you!" which is what I do :) your plushies are so adorableeeee I love 🤗

Thanks for sharing! I didn’t use to tell people/kids not to touch or squeeze them roughly but now I do. I do say it in a nice way and I also have a sign on my table that says clean hands only. Yes kids don’t read the sign but adults will remind them to not touch because they see the sign. Omg the worst is when the kids dig their fingers into the plushies 😵‍💫
