I owned this radar detector back in the day and it was my favorite! Saved me more than a couple of times and my favorite radar detector story is with this one. Unfortunately it got stolen, but it sure did whet my appetite for radar detector use and 35 years later I still use one...the R7.

Wish someone had a fix for this!!! Its super annoying. Only on certian saved stations. Doesn't have to be a repeater station with mine. Like the radio, hate the clicking during scanning function!

I have one too. Still works great. Bought it like 12 or 13 years ago. It didn't come with an AC adapter but I eventually found one that worked. I got tired of putting in fresh batteries every month or so. Most people like the clock, except one friend who finds the noise it makes quite irritating. I've had it so long that I don't even notice the sound anymore as the minutes tick by.

This is a police radar detector "Fuzzbuster" from back in the 1970's. Just showing how it operates and sounds when it detects police radar.

I have a K band radar gun off to the side. Plug it in your car and take a drive, if it's working it will drive you nuts in the first 5 minutes with all of the false alerts. I have 2 of these. One works, the other will power on but not detect anything.

Thank you for sharing the video with us. Now that there are high quality thermal cameras that fit my budget, I’m curious to investigate if similar footage could ve captured with cheaper sensors. Are you aware of the VEVOR SC240M camera? It has a high refresh rate and thermal sensitivity of 40 MK. How well do you think that one would perform in comparison to your PathfindIR II?

Ten days before I bought same tape recorder . But very very worst quality products from sanyo. Speaker worthless Board very cheap material . Please open and compare with national Panasonic . Which country you ?

I'm in the USA. Yes, the quality is pure cheap plastic. Just hard to find anything in good condition any more that isn't $$$$

The only place I was able to get anything was on eBay. A good watch shop should be able to replace the crystal and battery. Other than that I don't know.

I had one of these and really, really liked it. I suppose so did the thief who stole it from my car. However, if there is ever a new and up-to-date Maxon radar detector that is created, sign me up! I have to say of all the radar detectors I've ever owned (including the Uniden R-7), the Maxon was my favorite :0)

On the 357, what you are hearing is the sonic crack, not the report from the actual gun powder. I am not wearing any hearing protection.

Both loads were hand cast bullets from a Lee 158 grain SWC mold. These are hand loads and I load on the hotter side. The powder was Hodgdon Titegroup. 38 special was around 950 FPS and the 357 was around 1250 FPS.

Thanks I have the same watch but all stainless, got for my 16th birthday in 1981. Pulled it out the draw replaced the battery and could not remember how to set it. The watch is so close to the current PRX model in styling
