Nah, this seems like a toxic relationship. Broke up a few times, same with getting married then divorced, then again. It’s an effed up cycle in a relationship and clearly an unstable one. But for some reason, people love this kind of relationship dynamic and claim that it is true love. It’s toxic infatuation imo.

This is brilliant and I love the use of Go Your Own Way since the entire band dynamic and romances are based off Fleetwood Mac. Such an amazing show and one of the best books I've ever read. These two love birds right there just discovered they have still feellings for each other and people are blaming them for no reason. I think their reconnection is very sweet and pure. Especially Steves Confession that deep down he never stopped loving Nancy, was just heartwarming to hear! i love them.

I read your discription and i agree! Honestly i don't understand these people either, who say that it ruins steves development. Like how? His development was about to become a helpful, carring guy, who learned from his mistakes to make things better. His development was never about forgetting Nancy. In fact he never stopped loving Nancy. Even in S3 when he tried to forget her by going on dates with other girls or by trying to convince himself that he doesn't have feelings for Nancy anymore. He tried, but it didn't work out, because his feelings are too strong. That's why he also risked his life for her in S3, when he crushed the car. I can't even imagine another girl for Steve, other than Nancy, because he loves her so much. As for Nancy: It is clear that she slowly fall in love with Steves better version of himself, because of the big development he went through. This new side of him she actually liked in S2 already, when he helped the kids. But now he is fully developed to be the man, she can love.

I want them back together soooo badly!!! I can't even 🤧🤧 i ship these two love birds since day 1!! 😢😢 Always Team Stancy ❤

Its great to watch on t.v, and I loved Tree hill; Great to watch a "love story" like theirs.. I watched all the seasons.. but then you realize its just tv. Real relationships arent that way in real life.

The show ending was the true villain

I started the series out, not liking Joel at all. But by the series finale, he had become one of my favorites. He had so much growth, and it was him leaving Midge, that led her to a life of fufillment. This is one of those rare times where I root for a tv couple to reconcile despite infidelity. This is beautiful. You understand their dynamic so well.

This makes me sad ! 😔

I have watched, BINGED, on Midge and Joel's love/marriage over 100x- I got a crush on Joel, alias Michael Zegen when he appeared in Boardwalk Empire and after the 1st few episodes of season 1, he won my heart- again. My hubby owes me the soundtrack to THE BEST TV SHOW EVER because he said Midge would never take Joel back and I said, oh you just wait and see...! I love how Joel looks out for her no matter what and how Midge after 3 other marriages STILL hangs out with him- a Romeo and Juliet, sort of, romance! I still get teary-eyed when in the Catskill's Joel gazes at her with his big, sad eyes... Such fine, fine actors...Namaste to other fans. Hugs from Canada. " one more for the road..."
