50 years ago this week - still have my own cassette recording and memory of Elgar Howarth dropping his baton to commence this wonderful performance as he was still walking on stage, bravo Grimethorpe!

How wonderful is that! Thanks so much guys. As I recorded the Birmingham School of Music Band in 1979 on my old Panasonic I am right there in spirit with you. Thanks so much for rescuing these historic performances. Bravo!
