You modern day Binmen have got it so chushy these days. I'm in no way disrespecting you. I think you all do a great job 💯... But.... My Grandfather was a Bin Man and back in his day he used to have to collect the bins (the old metal ones) from wherever they were on the property, filled with everything and anything in those days, all exposed (no bin bags back then) ,hoist one onto each shoulder, physically carry them down to the lorry, empty them himself and then return the empties to where he's got them from before moving onto the next houses. Even when it was peeing it down or thick ice and snow.😮 If anything fell out from being overfilled He had to pick that up by hand and take that to the lorry too.💩 N Yes, I'm Nottingham born and bred 😂

Blimey, that sounds even worse than that recycling truck I was sometimes on. That was newer than the usual 13 and 16 plate trucks I worked on at the time too. These Olympus packers seem prone to it.

You dont realise how lucky you are back in the day we cld do 1 bin at a time and they were heavy it wld take 2 men to lift one bin togeather cuz sometimes they wld be to heavy for one man so on the steel bins we wd have to grab a handle each on the bin and togeather take it to the truck and lift it in togeather

I’m bin man in Birmingham for Solihull … I do recycle. Them lifters are slow on ur wagon lol and lift weird lol. I do average 16 miles a day on foot

Put some aunt man ever since we've had those new bins. I have to have bags on the back of my chairs in the kitchen separating all the recycling stuff plus we leave it out and it's got to be left neat but when the dust moon come they just throw it all across the road and block your driveway as you'll disabled. You have to put up with this. It's a disgrace
