@ i have a lot of file worth more than 60-70gb on my ipad unfortunately if i do the Activation lock reset i will loose all my file and have to redownload a whooping 70gb all over again

This depends . Find my iPhone is essential for safety but since this issue is rampant. I would recommend turning it off if you knew your phone would be safe regardless. Do you understand?

The issue seems to be general. The last time I discussed with Apple support on this issue; they advised that you can reset your mobile to solve this . Do you have find my iPhone on at the moment?

Did you contact apple support on this issue ? You need to rectify this before anything can be done with the iCloud id.

This is from Apple. Please make sure you check your email settings …. I wanted to inform you we’ll send the email from “Apple”, ask them to check quickly and search for it. If it isn’t in your inbox, check your folders. If a spam filter or email rule moved the email, it might be in the Spam, Junk, Trash, Deleted Items, or Archive folder. You might also have to change your email address settings to allow messages from Apple

Hey techie, NOTE: Make sure you use the exact number linked with the particular iCloud account . Then this will work successfully and iCloud will be fixed within 24hrs
