My PPL spend has been a better ROAS than Adwords PPC, but only because of the ability to aggressively refund PPL leads. The downside has been cant control the actual marketing channel
@batemancollective3 ай бұрын
I hear you on the PPL ROAS advantages, especially the refund flexibility. But, as a fan of PPC , I gotta say - the control and transparency you get with PPC is hard to beat. You can really dial in your campaigns and branding over time. And, with the right strategy, you can even beat PPL's ROAS. That said, I know PPL can be a smart supplement, especially for smaller budgets. Just gotta be selective with your providers. Happy to chat more about striking the right balance between the two channels if you're interested!

I’m curious. Why has leadzolo been awful? I’m trying to decide where to spend my marketing budget and started entertaining leadzolo

@thisischristianpaul my experience was not great w Zolo. The leads were mostly low quality, and hard to reach. Some may have been generated off of KZbin ads.

When you say smaller busgets are doing manual bidding. What is considered small budget? Under 10k? Under 5k? Or are those busgets larget enough to go automated bidding?
@batemancollective3 ай бұрын
@johnma1280 It depends on your market, but a good rule of thumb is to stick to manual bidding if your budget is under $3000 per month. But test it yourself-every account is different!

@@batemancollective an agency set ours at $300/day at Maximize Conversion. Some days have $300 clicks which hurts but they believe Max Conv is the way to go. They say the performance is decent but our PPL purchases have been out performing which is surprising. Not sure if we should keep running it as they say we need more time for AdWords to calibrate bc 2 months is too short to learn

Brandon, approximately what percentage of my ad spend is cost from Bateman Collective..For example if I give you $20,000 what percentage will be owed to the agency?
@batemancollective Жыл бұрын
Hey! This depends on a few things like the amount of channels you would want us to manage and how much you are spending on ads for example. Our minimum management fee is $1750 and the percentage of ad spend decreases as budget grows. If you'd like we can set up a strategy consultation with our team to get you a precise quote. You can schedule that here if you have more questions: www.batemancollective.com/relp/

How should I go about starting an agency making facebook ads? Should I just go into it face first and learn on the way or learn as much as possible first then start?
@batemancollective Жыл бұрын
Hey! We'd recommend a mix! Start learning as much as you can and jump into it. Find a few people to start working with and running their accounts and then grow from there. The key is to never stop learning and growing, and experience is one of the best ways to learn. Good luck!
@ryanwilson8293 Жыл бұрын
Some serious bias here guys. I ran my own campaign and had an REI specific agency run a campaign as well. My CPC, CPA, cost per deal were way better than the agency. You guys are overemphasizing the difficulty of running an in house campaign. It's not rocket science and people can learn it and probably do better than the agency that has a couple people overseeing a ton of different campaigns across a ton of different markets for a ton of different clients. I do believe there can be benefits to outsourcing but to act like it's SOOOO difficult to do it in house is frankly ridiculous.
@batemancollective Жыл бұрын
Hey Ryan! Thanks for sharing your thoughts! It's awesome to hear about your firsthand experience with both in-house and agency campaigns. Props to you for nailing PPC yourself-that's awesome! We get where you're coming from, and we totally agree that there is plenty of nuance to the agency vs in-house decision. Our goal isn't to downplay a company's ability to rock in-house campaigns, but more to give a complete picture of the potential challenges that come with that decision-specifically the time & cost of doing it yourself. You're right, we're an ad agency so we definitely have a bias 🙂 Bummer you weren't able to find the right agency to take PPC off your plate!
@Maxsneary Жыл бұрын
I feel like they called out when their bias was present pretty well. Thanks for all the info. I know if I were to try to situate a campaign in house for my company there would be a huge learning curve
