Akido is about useful as Matrix in real life. If u can slow the opponents time down then like Quick Silver u can do anything.

in my opinion this technique is very difficult if the uke holds it very tightly. especially if you are tall and big. it is difficult to move. most techniques don't work

The technique does work, it takes time to learn it well, but it works. In our school it is the technique that the police use the most when we enter and it works well for them.

My sensei said not to do it omote cause that tenkan helps off balance for the technique, but I feel like omote is much more realistic.
