So odd being able to see the world like that because it needed to be made fully 3D for the flying mounts..... I do not like it, I prefer the look of the older world.

Shadowlands may have had a weak storyline with the Jailer and some explanations, but the covenant zones, their atmosphere, inhabitants and world quests that each time revealed a piece of this world and its history were incredible. I think the artists who worked on the visuals, as well as the music, captured unforgettable moments that the Covenants represent. It was enough just to get into the starting zone and it immediately became clear what's going on. But Maldraxxus never got a place in my heart, hah

I've played Warcraft since Orcs and Humans straight through to Vanilla. Now my 9 year old likes to walk around Elwynn forest too. Never gets old ❤

Playing through Bastion and listening to this music made me sad and melancholic, I actually had to stop playing the game for a few months. Covid was rampant and there was so much anxiety and uncertainty about what the future holds and if I and my loved ones would survive. The post-death themes of this zone were just too real for me at that time... can anyone relate?

I wish the shadow lands where connected, an abyss. Something with creatures as lame as the "ghost" leviathan even? I want scary from wow at time darn it.

Just picked up WoW after 10+ years. My first character ever was a Night Elf Warrior. When I turned it on for the 1st time last night, it all came rushing back to me. The music, the color. Little details I’d forgotten a million times. I’ve been daydreaming about this place all day. This helps. Bless you for this. 😊

I stay till level 15. Makes the rest of the game much much much easier, especially on HC.

Nothing like original WOW is ever going to happen again. It was a product of a different world, and it was really something special to be a part of.

I know Shadowlands wasn't loved overall, but I'll never forget my first time flying into Bastion from Oribos, it was quite magical

Bastion, my home in Shadowlands. Continuing their campaign after I chose them as my covenant was something special, but also heartbreaking. This music means a lot to me, as does the story of the Kyrian. Spending 60+ hours on my squishy little rogue getting crystals for a beautiful mount will always be worth it. Seeing the beauty of Bastion through this quest will always be remembered.

Vanilla was great - but TBC was the peak of WOW imo. WOTLK was decent, but was also slowly the beginning of the "modern" ERA with farming badges for gear og auto LFG etc.

Funny how blizzard was like, "we have this huge and expansive universe with multiple planets and revamped zones. Lets put 7 raids and dungeons on a single mountain though...."

KZbin comments feels like a weird place to ask this, but did you have any goals in mind on how you wanted these covenant tracks to differ from their respective zone tracks? Love to see more Kyrian and Night Fae music and sounds, they were a light in the darkness of shadowlands. Good luck with the renovations as well. House stuff is really a different kind of tiring.

Although I did not stick with Shadowlands too long the zones were breathtaking. It seems like yesterday that I´ve set my foot the first time into this zone but it´s almost 4 years.
