Gregg Green
Gregg Green is a singer songwriter and composer whose soulful and highly personal blend of reggae soul jazz and hip hop tells the story of his life. Born into a family of artists, his father a renowned trumpet player and his uncle a recording artist for Stax records, Gregg is raised in and around music.
His own work has been compared to that of many greats, ranging in scope from Ben Harper to Nas. Inspired by his love of soulful music with a message, regardless of genre, he began playing guitar writing rhymes and singing around the same time. This diverse approach to his art, along with him travelling the world, living in places like Paris Hawaii and New York explains why his is a seamless blend of musical styles.
Gregg moves unrestrictedly between spoken word, rapping and singing, with topics ranging from police brutality, child slavery and justice for the oppressed to soulful love songs, funk flavored dance tracks, and moody ballads.
