Have an X6 M50D. Needed to jump start it because the tracker was draining the battery. Used my brother's 320D to jump start, cables were too thin. We needed heavy duty truck jump start cables.

For the gearbox just change the filter and oil also the oil pan gasket,if the gearbox has problems take it ro a gearbox specialist,I have seen the inside of those ZF gearbox trust me it's complicated😅
