AVOID AT ALL COSTS! When we arrived we were told the hotel was overbooked, and they have to move us to the “family friendly” and old Riu Palace. We spoke to many staff about what happened and they all said that this is what Riu does. They can’t fill the Palace so they overbooked Antillas! There were 14 other couples that had the same thing happened to them on our arrival alone. Who knows how many more people this happened to. We paid more for Antillas but they sent us to the Palace and said we would receive a 15% refund on our total vacation. This never happened! There are too many negatives to mention and the nightly shows are absolutely terrible!

@ everyone that was affected were very upset, and we received an email from Riu afterwards that they aren’t prepared to give any type of refund

Yes all drinks are included along with all the food you can eat!

Hi, I enjoyed your video of the Embassy Suites in Aruba. My sister and myself went to Aruba in September 2023 and stayed at the Riu Palace. Now I am going back to Aruba in December 2024 with my husband and staying at Embassy Suites. I just wanted to get your opinion on whether it is hard to get a seat by the pool? We never had an issue with finding seats around the pool.. they have so many seats and loungers.. it is one of our favourite pool areas in Aruba. Enjoy your trip!!!!!

The cost of the rental was about $190 for seven days, everything included.. but price would depend on time of year… check the website as they do have specials some months..

Parking in the city is with parking meter but along palm beach strip you can pay at some of the hotels or it is free if you are staying there or using the facilities or restaurant of that hotel. Check out our video on car rentals and we explain paid parking in the city

Very nice pool and Jacuzzi. I have a walking disability (bad hip) so I mostly stick to the pool. I've stood at an Embassy Suite in San Juan Puerto Rico and it was always my favorite with the free breakfast and Manager's cocktail, Olympic pool.

The Embassy suites pool is amazing and very easy to get into with its wide steps and large size… plenty of space to play at this resort and the breakfast is really good

@@PerpatowithNV I'm going to try and go in May. I'm having hip surgery in 10 days and it will be a nice relaxing vacation. I went twice to Aruba this year but was barely able to walk with a cane. I stood at La Cabana Resort in Feb and The Ren in June.

You will find the Embassy suites a lot more relaxing than La Cabana resort.. A lot more space to more around.. we wish you a speedy recovery from your surgery

We really like the Divi Phoenix. The location and layout is great. Prices of all the resorts really depend on when you go. But the Divi resorts hotels are a great place to stay and play

Hey guys PLEASE HELP I’m traveling with a 23 y.o who’s used to all inclusive resorts SPOILED LOL please suggest what would be a good fit for a mom n daughter duo should we stay at Embassy Suites By Hilton Aruba Beach Resort Or Courtyard by Marriott Aruba Resort All the all inclusive is way too pricey

We have videos on both resorts… the embassy suites is much newer and cleaner with a much nicer pool.. the breakfast is also better at Embassy suites… you can walk to the beach from Embassy suites and the strip of restaurants and shops is only a $7 cab ride or 15 minute walk.. we really liked the Embassy suites over the courtyard.. however the beds are very comfortable at courtyard.. our recommendation would be Embassy Suites… I hope that helps

Thanks for watching! This was just a standard king room with an ocean view.. all the rooms are pretty much the same with a different view. Unless you get a suite that has a jacuzzi on the balcony.. this room we got was center building top floor..

The Riu Palace is a family resort. The Riu Antillas next door is the Adults Only resort. But you can use both resorts if you are over 18 years old, including the bars, pools and buffets..

Thank you for the video, please let me know when you do the update video about the pros and cons. Also if you do not get Palapa for the day are there beach umbrellas to pay for? I have little kids and do not want to be with no shade bc of the strong sun. Also not much chairs are there. Do most people kist have to sit in the sand at the beach? Thanks in advance

You would need to book your Palapa on the app that they give you.. however you will need to do that early as they do book up fast..We will be doing a pros and cons video of this and some other resorts on Aruba, but they do take time to edit and put up on KZbin… thank you for watching.

Most people just use credit cards to pay, however they do accept US dollars everywhere… you do not need to change to local currency (florins). We have always booked on our own. Check the website of the hotel and see if they have a promotion on, then check the airlines websites. You can usually get a better deal booking direct.. if the deal is still not good then try kayak, expedia, etc… if you are from Canada, you can also try sunwing… Let me know if you have any other questions, we are happy to help.

I’ve been there at least 4 times since 2015. Every time we look at other options we end up going back to the RIU Palace Aruba. Theres so many positives, the few negatives can be overlooked. Probably going back first week of November.

Lovely video but boy when you said the pool was freezing i was like are you kidding another resort with a cold pool, i feel years ago the resorts i went to the water was just perfect, i cannot stand cold water and i love to swim. I went to the Majestic Elegance in Punta Cana and the water was ice cold in the Club pools, it really put a damper on my vacation. I adore swimming but not in cold water. But this resort looks incredible, it is a thought. Thank you for your hard work.

They do not have a DJ by the pool. They do activities by the pool including aerobics, trivia games and they play music at those times..

Stay at the Eagle this past May. Very easy going vibe and loved the pools stayed open late. Nothing over the top, but the money saved can’t beat it. Access to Super foods was great if you don’t eat out or enjoy meals in room. Great for long stays on the happy island without breaking the bank.

@@Costinga1 the holiday inn location is great but the resort is tired! Not a good bed in our opinion. The Eagle Aruba has good rooms, close to the grocery store and the beach is amazing, however you may need a car to go to the palm beach strip.. only thing holiday inn has is location

We enjoyed the Embassy suites more than the Holiday Inn.. it is not hard to get over to the palm beach strip in the evenings.. $7 taxi ride… Embassy suites has free drink tickets every night for happy hour, which is good.. The holiday inn is dated and to tell you the truth, I did not care for the pool.. I would choose the Embassy Suites over Holiday Inn… which ever hotel you choose, you will have a great time. we appreciate you watching and supporting our channel..

Out of all the resorts we stayed at, it was the most comfortable..let me know if you have any questions… and also request a room as far from the big windmill as possible.. weekend party at the club there goes on until 5 am. We just came back from this resort this afternoon. I can tell you it was a huge disappointment. There were stains on the towels, they smelled musty and were not soft. We had no hot water for showers (we were not the only ones who had this issue and it wasn’t just one building). My sister-in-law had a palmetto bug (roach) in her shower. Took them 3 hours to come remove it. My nephew’s room had dirty pillows. I could go on and on. Some of the staff we interacted with were wonderful and the food was pretty good. Those are the only redeeming things about this place. Will NOT be returning.

I have heard people having similar issues at the Riu Palace.. the resort is starting to show its age even though I know they did renovate some of the rooms.. the staff does try best they can but I know they are severely understaffed… other then the hotel, I hope you had a wonderful time in Aruba

I have heard very mixed reviews about Gianni’s lately. Many people say it is not worth the money… Patrizias is a very large restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating.. I have personally seen groups of over 20 eating at one large table…

There is an all inclusive plan you can get when you book.. you will have restaurants on the property that you can make reservations at to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner.. As far as I know the only buffet is at breakfast and it is great! If you are looking for a true All inclusive resort, check out the riu palace or the Riu Antillas hotels.. they are also on Palm beach.. The Barceló is also all inclusive but I have not heard good things about the food..

The prices vary from around $12-18 for appetizers and mains between $25-$40 depending on what you want to get.. the prices are very fair for the quality and the location.. Barefoot is a place we visit on every trip to Aruba

Just left Riu Palace Aruba resort and it was horrendous!!! Please take my comments seriously when you read this. I booked a year in advance through a travel agent and when our party arrived they had none of our rooms available. We reserved a junior partial ocean view room with ocean view. They all had issues getting us the reserved rooms . I asked for a handicapped room and my sister and I ended up with a king bed without the shower chair that I requested. I ended up sleeping on a rollaway bed for the first night. The next day, I got a handicapped accessible room over looking a trash dumpster and the handheld shower head holder was broke. The bathroom smelled of heavy urine and a yellow unrobe stain on three floor with blond hair in it. The sheet had stains on it and the throw decorative blanket at the end of the. Ed had blood on it. Needless to say my niece was put in room 248.which had bed bugs. (She has photos) Before I was assigned the pullout bed they check in clerk tried to give me 248 after my niece complained and they knew there was bedbugs in that room. They never treated the room or shut it down. Also, there’s black mold on all the mattresses because they spray them and they’re left damp. The hallway to room 194 smells of sewage. I think they had us near the waste area. There was sooooo many unhappy tourist checking in and having room problems. It was insane. Never again!!!
