Nice video but may I make an observation. The first half of the video consisted of the same medium radius turn over and over. If you vary your turn shape by throwing in a half dozen short radius turns followed by some long radius cruisers you will really enjoy the run more and perfect your technique for times when those turns are mandatory.

I go to Frisco a lot to bike but how do you get to the downhill trails?
@briangillan69462 ай бұрын
From the adventure park parking lot, I take the bike path to the second access road that doesn't have the giant climb. Crown point, I think it's called. From there you can take tip top on the right to the top. At the top make a left. Sky pilot is on the left. Aftermath on the right. Sky pilot goes to the lake now. It's a blast
@Quicksy_2 ай бұрын
@@briangillan6946 thanks so much! I am planning to go a few more times before the snow comes. Probably won’t be able to do Aftermath. It’s way over my pay grade 😂

Great video! I'm looking forward to trying this one out. Are you riding up the North Argentine Trail or the access road?
@briangillan69466 ай бұрын
You take North Argentine to get to Wheels up. If you want to do the Beavers trails you have to go up the road. They were building a climbing trail up top but I'm not sure if it's done yet.

@@briangillan6946 very cool. How is that North Argentine trail? Do you recall how long it takes? Fairly steep?

The last time I skied the back bowls of Vail it was wall to wall moguls the size of Volkswagen Beetles. I have never seen the back bowls groomed like that. It's been a few years since I have been to Vail because I moved away, so not sure this is a new thing Vail is doing. The back bowl moguls were the only reason I used to go to Vail. They used to keep it all natural.

Vail is not a very hard mountain. You can find some good runs that are steep but places like Telluride and Jackson Hole will eat it's lunch if you like steep. That said, Vail is still my favorite hill. It's massive, fun runs, restaurant at the top- 11,000 feet up is really cool and the town is fancy but still fun. Just go!
