Got a question for the black 56 rag. First it is awesome. I am restoring a black rag top also but the code for interior is black and white interior. I dont like that color. what did you do for yours I like the interior.

i have a 57 convertible also, I really like the way you did the the continental kit. It must have had a chrome ring originally, was it powder coated or painted over it to leave the thin chrome line on the lip?

It’s not my car, it’s a friend of mine. I think it is just a piece of pinch molding around the edge of the ring to keep it from scratching. 57 all came chrome rings, the only one that did not was the white which came with a white ring and cover.

These cars came with two engines..a 425 hp 409, 4 speed. and or a 235 inline 95 hp six cylinder with a Powerglide automatic..and no one at GM knew why???

Just a note --the entire power train was available in the 62 Bel Air I recently saw one that had a 300hp 327 a n a 4spd, and one that. Had a 283 ,power glide, and that one had factory Air! . I'd bet that there were more that left the factory with a 235 and 3spd stick than 409's, but you know those hot rodders. BTW the 409's in '62 were 380 hp with a single AFB or 409hp with the dual quad set up

Its sad that there are people that would criticize this car because he made it a lowrider when in fact i think its absolutely perfect 🤌🏼 i love 57 drops and to be honest i would take one over a 64 any day! Very nicely done 👍🏻
