If I were you, I would have one of your party members use an item it's called Coagulant to paralyze the Metal Slime. I had to do that with the Gladiator class with regular slimes, or they'd run away. The Ranger class was really easy though sure it was tedious, but as long as you have a priest that can do small damage to knock down a good chunk while the Hocus Chimera is poisoned. Then your all good. It's even better when you fight a group of them, in case you mess up.

I’m confused why none of the hero’s party was able to hit the boss in this episode. This trope has rarely made sense to me, as the antagonist wasn’t blitzing the party. He stood still, and yet those attacks still couldn’t land. Why?

It may be a magic symbol, similar to the ones that appear when you do Zone attacks (The combo I'm thinking of involves the rogue with blue hair, the girl who looks perpetually like a 5th grader wearing a cat suit, & the main character). Wouldn't be too surprised if the magic ritual circle is split up into different locations, in reference to the different elements of magic (or where you could find one of the Macguffin orbs).

I first played a Dragon Quest game back when the franchise operated in North America under the name Dragon Warrior. Square Enix retired the Dragon Warrior name starting with Dragon Quest VIII, the first Dragon Quest game to be released in Europe.

Some of the songs in Dragon Quest VII were reused in Dragon Quest XI, such as “With Sadness in Heart.”

I wouldn't mind a remake if they have a decent member of the late 鳥山明's (RIAB) team on characters.

yo, Sai-sama. i have been playing Dragon Quest III SUPER FAMICON EDITION on my own Asian semi-Official Wii. though, currently working through my own Official Edition of Pocket Monster Ruby. your regular FAMICON EDITION is probably alright though.
