Sooo you didn't say not show if you put anything on the glasses to engrave.
@zhyle028 ай бұрын
I think for a co2 you dont need to put anything on clear materials. But on diode lasers you do need to make a black coating so that the blue laser will not pass through it and engrave the surface instead.

HI.... is there any issue regarding laser engraving on a round surface ? or do you fix the perspective beforehand ? ... thanks !
@CreateALase Жыл бұрын
When we stick to the area we show in the video, we do not need to map the surface. As it is only etching until the surface curves and starts to distort. You will find the limits pretty easily on a test piece. We might need to show a video of us etching the inside of a ring. This one we did need to map the surface. We will add it to our video list so watch out for this when we upload it. 🙂

How did you get it darker?
@CreateALase Жыл бұрын
We slowed the speed but kept the same power. First pass we had taken our settings for stainless steel, then increased the speed to about 90%, then on the second pass we just used our stainless steel normal settings.
@NoOne-sy3dq Жыл бұрын
I thought the Fusion Pro 24 you had was dual source with a 30W fiber. Or did you use a separate 20W laser? Does any of your fiber lasers engrave on metal or can it actually etch into the metal to give it grooves when you run your finger across?

What type of laser is best for this type of engraving, for cufflinks?
@CreateALase2 жыл бұрын
Hi Brooklyn, Fiber laser would be the best pick. As cufflinks are usually brass we recommend fiber to get that nice black mark like you see in our video. Any fiber will do for this task. Any wattage will be enough. Thank you

Really well edited and comprehensive. Does the machine indicate when it's safe to open after a job is complete? (thinking about potential fumes etc.)
@CreateALase2 жыл бұрын
Awesome thank you yes we do our best. 🙂 For the Laser indicating when to open it. Yes it has a light that is on while in operation and turns off then beeps when ready to open. You connect a good extraction unit to it so there is never any fumes.

Great video. On fence between Epilog and Trotec. However, Epilog just scored large points by including ramps in packing. That clearly shows how much they think of their customers. Bought very large combo saw/shaper/planer-jointer from Austrian company. Machine came on pallet but no easy way to get off pallet. The care that Epilog takes to make the use of the equipment is impressive.

How do you make these food safe to insert into cake? Thanks
@CreateALase2 жыл бұрын
When laser etching this is a very food safe operation passed by FDA. The use of Acrylic is ok for dentures, And if you are worried possibly a lite hand wash can help. Otherwise cover them before adding to the cake. Cheers!

I have a 130w Thunder Laser and have issues contending with glue even using 1/4" baltic birch. Do lasers with an RF tube such as the Epilog have the same types of issues?

Hey can you tell me, how i can get rid of the strong smoke smell?
@CreateALase2 жыл бұрын
Hi Natalie, Just these 3 steps can minimise smoke in the wood. 😉😉 1. Prevent, Best option is higher wattage laser, as this cuts cleaner so burns less. Low wattage lasers need to be slower to burn deeper, which creates more heat and burns more. 2. shield, After using higher wattage laser, next possibility is to mask the wood first which helps with smoke build up on top of the wood, less smoke sitting on top will reduce smell. 3. Remove, Then next option is try to remove some of the smoke residue by wiping with wet cloth. Only make it moist with water and not really wet. we do not want it soaking the wood, only wiping off residue.

So I was wondering if the lazer can do even smaller letters on dog tags? And also do you have any lazer machine names that I can look up and possibly purchase? My name is Matthew. Thanks
@CreateALase2 жыл бұрын
Hi Matthew, thanks for watching! Yes, the smallest letter size I have done was on a ring at 0.9mm high letters. So on tags, you can get extremely small and still readable. Though it does depend on your laser to get that detail. We do recommend lasers by Epilog or Trotec as these get that crazy detail, with high production performance. Though most even cheap Galvo style fibre lasers from China can get fine detail too. For a new laser, you will need to think of and weigh up your reasons for getting a laser. How expensive is too expensive, how cheap is not reliable enough.
@M.Huling2 жыл бұрын
@@CreateALase thank you, I will consider those options
