I’m needing to do more of this and slightly struggling with a. Commercial job…. But I’m very interested in how you used a vac for the mopping of the dirty cleaner…. Not a bad idea!

What I did is I cleaned the floor like normal and then instead of using a towel to wipe it up I took the filter out of my shop back and sucked it up that way that way I didn’t run through as many towels

How did you clean the interior roof? Im stuck on that
@mtjohnsonautodetailing1955
@mtjohnsonautodetailing1955 4 ай бұрын
You can use some p and s carpet bomber in a spray bottle and a microfiber towel. Just make sure you clean the whole roof in one go because if you don’t it will leave a line from where you cleaned certain spots and not others.

What sprayer are you using? Do you recommend any good options to start off with?
@mtjohnsonautodetailing1955
@mtjohnsonautodetailing1955 9 ай бұрын
The sprayer is a 2 gallon dewalt sprayer from Home Depot. The ones I use now are the Home Depot brand 56OZ sprayers they are about 7 bucks and they let you get your chemical down without soaking the carpet and seats. The dewalt one in the video will get everything more wet than is necessary so I have since stopped using it.

Thanks for the input, i've switched to a stronger mix since but with some vehicles there is nothing you can do to make it look perfect without going over the customers budget. P.S. It's too weak by the way not to weak

I’m not entirely sure what caused the stain. I used chemical guys lightning, fast carpet, shampoo, and an aqua pro vac extractor to clean the stain. More recently I’ve been using P&s carpet bomber for shampooing carpet and seats. Thanks for the question!

You have to dry the seats with a heater and a fan after the detail to prevent wicking. What can happen is the stains resurface if it’s not dried quickly.

Because they would take longer to dry which normally is not a concern in the summer but it was probably about high 30s low 40s this day. Also makes for a better video if they are extracted.

How does a sedan take 18 hours....? That's clearly a joke, right? Or at least I hope it is. I do cars like this all the time, and they're 6 hours tops.
@mtjohnsonautodetailing1955
@mtjohnsonautodetailing1955 Жыл бұрын
It took 12 hrs but it was 18 man hours. I had a helper for 6 hours of it we had to steam clean everything to disinfect and heavily use an enzyme cleaner, as well as a couple hours of ozone treatment to make sure that it was safe for the customer. Only having six hours would’ve made it unsafe for the customer i ended up eating most of the price because it wasn’t a customers fault that it was that bad so I didn’t want to charge them too much extra. I hope that answers you question. Thanks for watching!
