I used to be very moved by emotional Mormon videos. As a teen, I was incredibly vulnerable because of my abusive family situation. I was easily tear-jerked around! I was influenced by a charismatic Sunday Seminary teacher (it was a small isolated branch of LDS) who invited me to attend her classes and read the Seminary Home Study materials about D&C/LDS Church History. Polygamy was taught instead of hidden (70's) in a way that I could accept it because, Old Testament. One of the things of Old that had to be restored, even though they had to suspend it a few decades later. Of course I knew nothing about Joseph Smith marrying other men's wives. That is definitely not supported by the Bible!

This entire missionary series is already full of thousands of menial, arbitrary rules, on top of this segment which has hundreds of “rules” that sister missionaries are to follow while physically moving, at all times, in order to not inadvertently flash a little extra leg. All that constant effort these women are expected to put forth to prevent the corruption of men who might see above their ankles and commit a thought sin.
